I remember back in 97 this train rolled through my town non-stop. Just watching it glide past was a sight to see. The following year in 98, it actually stopped here and I remember having a great time. Me and my parents and sibs and everyone else gathered just stood and watched until she was out of sight.

Very, very cool. I can imagine the delight that was shown on the children's faces as this huge display of Christmas cheer approached. Some small towns don't have the resources to provide much for Christmas displays, so I'm sure that this was a very memorable event for all. Kudos to the employees volunteers of that time. Railfan Depot, thanks for sharing.

Frosty the crackman. Not a creature was stirring... until BNSFs Christmas train came into town sounding like Santa was working with the six to bring those Christmas warrants in to get their gifts of coal. Who thought this was a great idea to throw cop lights and sirens on a Christmas train??? No choochoo horn or whistle, just the local PD going the extra mile with the help of BNSF lmao.
