I have the same pair of leggings and I can tell you that the drawstrings are not supposed to go around the waist, its a "fake" drawstring so literally just put it through the hoops and tie it and its done😅

Such cute sets! Easy way to put the drawstrings back...attach a good sized safety pin onto one end and start taking the safety pin through one side of the hole opening and scrunch it through until you get to the other opening and voila there you have it. 💕
