First girl was singing along to the song and bo told her to shut up, he notoriously hates when people sing along. Second girl said "me love you long time" since he was talking about how she was asian during the show.
actually, he would have said this quote originally when he was 29. Wait - I think. No, "all eyes on me" is way after the birthday meltdown so i guess youre right
at this point of his career, I dont think he was having panic attacks. He states his first one was when he was 23, and I don't think he was that old here yet. He probably was just incredibly irritated. (commented this on the wrong thread)
My favorite part of Bo's act is that he's so quick to recover that you really can't tell if his mistakes were intentional or not. He just keeps spitting and joking no matter what.
@Patrick Pepples why does it annoy you? People can have similar thoughts and this comment actually makes sense. It’s strange that you think multiple thinking the same thing is “annoying”. Says more about you as a person than you’re probably aware.
@@MJBowie no its just, on EVERY old bo burnham video you see stuff about how inside changes your view on the video. I LOVE the special, but it seems like some people say that when it doesn't even really make sense. Sure, it makes sense on this video, qnd i probably should've said this somewhere else, but ut seems like people are just faeming for likes sometimes
For anyone wondering what song he does at 2:30, it's the same song. He got pissed off that everyone was singing, so he changed the words so that no one would sing along
@@fart1673 yeah, imagine your boss asks you to do a very complicated task, and when you go to present it to him he tries to do it better than you and laughs _at_ you trying to do your best
Honestly though, people need to stop talking during his show. If you look, he speeds up because after all of that crap, he was stressed and he wanted to get off the stage, but he needed to finish doing his job. People seriously should not heckle unless invited to. There are comedians who encourage heckling, but there are many comedians that just cannot handle it. Bo is trying to give you what you want, so let him do his job. If you need attention that bad, YOU be a stand up comedian.
This has to be the best and most hilarious freestyle I've ever heard. Serioisly, how the fuck does he come up with so many clever punchlines on the freaking spot?? This guy is a genius.
it must be really unconfortable having people breaking up your momentum and act like, even so when it is really a act and everything is written to come out a certain way etc Bo talked about having panic attack on stage, I wonder if this was one of them :T
it probably wasn't a full blown panic attack but when he massages his forehead at 2:08 I think he might have come close to starting one and then fought to regain his composure
I doubt it, he wasn't showing any physical signs of a panic attack, I think it would be hard for him to even talk if that were the case... IDK if he was exaggerating when he brought that up, but if it's true, then he hid it well
Atma505 nah idk i think it could be bc usually when i'm having a panic attack you can only really tell if you know me really well and like i can keep doing what i'm doing but i might get more irritated by little things so to me this seems characteristic of a mild panic attack being masked very well but obviously i can't know what was going on at that moment and this is all just speculation
It's so funny how some people are so talented and creative and funny and smart at 19 and when I'm 19 I fall asleep in a bowl of macaroni at my parents' house.
He meant to break the microphone, yeah yeah yeah but you all thought it was an accident yeah he meant to break the microphone yeah yeah art is a lie NOTHING IS REAL!
Bo is honestly my favorite comedian. He is absolutely a genius with word play and structure. If I ever tried perform I would just break down. I'm always impressed with him and his work. Thanks Bo.
Nakia11798 this is before words words words was out and probably before the final song was written. I imagine he had written alot of clever like the ones he improv’d here and probably took the best of them and made words words words out of it
I got really uncomfortable for him while watching. He looks really upset and thrown off. When people do shit like that when I'm singing or something, I get really angry and disgruntled and I usually take it out on myself and others later. Due to having extreme anxiety and Asperger's, I freak out if I get thrown off my routine. Like, in music class, if someone were to interrupt me when I was playing and singing something, I'd get super pissed and it would probably ruin my day.
Demi Jaymes I feel like that's a common thing for anyone with anxiety of any sort. Aspergers is commonly linked with it, so that makes sense. I know I flipped shit more than once when I was focused on something and someone distracted me. It's hard enough to gain focus the first time, let alone when I'm upset and want to quit.
Sad part is that he said his reasoning for writing the ending song for "Make Happy" was because he suffered from constant panic attacks whenever he performed after he did "What".
Evan Hoeflich That's super sad. I feel for him. At least he can get on stage without instantly panicking sometimes, it's a slow process but it gets easier to do things that once made you anxious.
Yep. Because find it mildly confusing why someone would make fun of someone for no good reason, at their expense. I suppose it's okay if you don't have the emotional capability to also understand this.
this actually looks like one of the anxiety/panic attacks he used to get on stage and after watching inside it just hurts even more. when he says "whats happening" in that high voice that sounds he actually has no idea whats going on. bless his soul i wish bo all the happiness in the world
@@GhostMan407 I think a panic attack is a physical thing where you can actually have symptoms like tunnel vision while an anxiety attack is just moments of feeling extremely anxious. I could be wrong tho. Edit: lol the person under me knows what they're talking about, listen to them 😅
@@lenaelisabeth as someone who has had panic and anxiety attacks. This is kind of right. I sometimes have physical symptoms during an anxiety attack (for example, hyperventilating). Also, I don’t know if this is just with my experiences, but I think I’m having a heart attack or dying when I have a panic attack, but my panic attacks tend to be a lot shorter than my anxiety attacks. I’ve had anxiety attacks that have lasted up to 5 hours, whereas my panic attacks generally finish/decline after 5-15 minutes.
It makes me feel sorry for him that everyone is laughing at him legitimately struggling to remember what he was meant to be doing because someone fucked up his show.
God, Bo is literally one of the most beautiful human beings I know of and I really, truly respect his talent and just him as a person. I can see a lot of the internal struggle he deals with on a day-to-day basis and I know many people can relate, and I just feel like it's so amazing that he's taken those struggles and used them to create beautiful things and songs and performances and… god I just love him so much.
I don't think he would agree or like being on a pedestal. Watch art is dead and read about an interview Bo had when he talked about the song. www.independent.co.uk/news/people/profiles/bo-burnham-im-a-complete-hypocrite-2288858.html
Seriously, calm down. He's the same kind of human being as everyone. Those internal struggles are part of his on stage persona. Listen to his latest song "repeat stuff" so you know how stupid you are to fall in love with a celebrity.
@bananatree1234567 They never said they were in love? Lol you can love a person for their talent and personality. There's nothing romantic or immature about them respecting and loving him as a person.
Not to be rude, but change the title, please. Watching the first part makes me feel sick. The people are clapping and laughing after the keyboard smash, but he looks like a deer in the headlights. He is very obviously having one of his panic attacks, even though he is incredibly good at masking it. As for the second part: I don't know most of these verses, maybe they are from different songs of his? If they are really improvised on the spot, then that is one of the most incredible bits of improv I've ever seen. And all that after a panic attack, no less. I don't know how he is able to do something like this, but I hope for his sake he never has to again. I just want to hug him and I truly wish him all the best and that he can learn to cope with and maybe eventually overcome his anxiety. And the fucking hecklers can crawl back into the sewers they came from and choke on the fumes.
@@jaydenchung3963 that’s really impressive, but with the context of his new special all of this video, the title the way people found it funny. It just all is really sad to me
Patrick Stump stole my THUMP THUMP lungs he had a panic attack... ever since his show "what" he gets panic attacks when people laugh or interrupt his show.
This is incredible. Shitty that his show was being fucked with, but the fact that he sung entirely new lyrics just to stop people singing with him is absolutely incredible
1:16 i feel so bad he genuinely looks stressed isn’t this where he said he had a panic attack? If so he really knows how to improvise. I love him even more
+Kisha Jones He's a super introvert. You have to realize that everything you see on the stage is just an act. That isn't who he is at all. There's lots of great guys just like him, and plenty of fickle women ignoring them.
Seeing how people laugh and cheer while he actually panics makes me understand the line "you can tell them anything, if you make it funny, make it rhyme" so much better
To be fair to them, he's pretty visibly trying to keep the show rolling through a panic. It'd be my impulse to laugh too--reassure the kid that the slip-ups and interruptions didn't ruin the moment, that the audience is still enjoying the show. A stretch of silence would be way more anxiety-inducing.
This was an example of intense anxiety happen in a moment when he said “what is happening?” That was more likely to his body/vision’s response to anxiety. He did a great job at getting back to humor, but I understand why he stopped touring now.
I can tell how embarrassed he is that the audience is completely oblivious to what’s going on. It only makes it worse that they’re laughing, because now instead of them laughing with him, they’re laughing at him, but they don’t know that.
I think the people clapping made his anxiety worse i can't imagine messing up on stage and having people clap and laugh. I get hes a comedian but it must be horrible
Bo either A: had a replacement verse memorized and at the ready for when people sang along and threw him off on stage or B: he didn't plan that at all and he just freestyled that while in the middle of a panic attack. Both is impressive because he changed it up on the fly and went with it. I feel sorry for the guy but holy shit there are some incredibly impressive musical people.
+jay yo he's not that great and there plenty of others in the kinda mainstream. Some generic trap artists have some pretty good word but lyricism isn't the only the thing you should look for in an artist of any genre
I feel like this is what he was alluding to at the end of Inside where he gets locked out of his house struggles and the audience just laughs at him when he’s visibly stressed 8-8;
What?! He said that? When?!? omg, I never would've known had you not posted that! Thank you so much for repeating it here in the commentor's section. You've done a great service to society. A medal you deserve. To shake hands with the president you deserve! No, you deserve to shake hands with all the world's great leaders. You are a great, great person. Truly inspirational. I shall never forget you. Good luck with your gaming... stuff.
+Eru Illuvatar wow thank you so much for telling me something I already know and maybe get the fact before to u clown someone on youtube my cousin stole my phone and wrote that don't mess with an 11 year old cause it won't matter the argument will go on and on so thank you so very much for that already known fact and I hope you have a terrible rest of the year
Crystalizer gaming Is this ridiculously long run-on sentence, lack of grammar, punctuation and bad spelling your way of telling me that you're your own cousin? Incest and inbreeding are epidemics in America. Good on you for drawing attention to this problem.
+Eru Illuvatar EXACTLY I'M 11 AND IT'S THE INTERNET DO YOU THINK I CARE ONE BIT I DON'T AND I COULDN'T CARE EVEN IF I WANTED TO WHY DON'T YOU GO TALK TO SOMEONE WHO ACCUALLY WANTS TO TALK TO YOU
I feel like he absolutely hates every girl screaming that they love him, or squeal like pigs when something happens. He knows this is a show, an act, and despite it obviously coming from him, and being a part of him, it isn't him 24 hours a day and he's human just like the rest of us. Every girlish scream and obsession is just a reminder to him that in every day life when he loses his cool, has a bad mood, isn't feeling 100% happy (which is normal), or gets angry, those screams are just a reminder of how obsessed with an idea they are and all that is wrong with the world!
Someone gets it, he clearly hates the famous life but he enjoys it and is torn and every time that obsessive fan scream comes up its just a reminder, I think in his latest special hes just embraced but not in a bad way, really no way of fighting the system unless you participate in it
or maybe people are just cheering because they think he's funny and not because they have an advanced and unhealthy parasocial relationship with him in their heads
Some people in this comment section need to stop projecting your own interpretations onto an artist who’s been open about his mental struggles. None of us know him and none of us IS him so we do not have the authority to evaluate his situation in a video, panic attack or not. You can say you hope he’s well but saying he’s obviously having one of those panic attacks is weird like you’re using him to complete your own obsession over others’ struggles. It’s just rude and so ironic that I think you should go see his “we think we know you”. Plus he has this sort of anxious performance style that he sped up a lot and consciously muffled some of the words before his stuff evolved into slower piano songs like from god’s perspective etc. He’s a professional performer and handled the situation well in this vid. How about give him some respect he deserves?
Jesus christ, i couldnt stop laughing, and i also couldnt stop feeling horrible for him. He says in interviews he had anxiety and panic attacks on stage, and at points its so obvious what hes going through on stage as these people laugh at this kid trying to give them a good time they probably barely deserve.
I saw the title and kinda got scared because people don’t really see his panic attacks for the most part besides a few cases. I understand panic attacks a lot and we try to hide it in various ways so it kills me.
I think he’s having one here too. He’s said he is on autopilot sometimes when he has them and he’s cleared zoned out. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UpeBOKwOuIs.html
