lyrics to every heart - the english version :) liked this song awhile ago, and just thought of doing a lyrics vid on it :D probably won't be that popular, but whatever XD I OWN NOTHING!!!
i remember watching inuyasha when i was little and this was one of my favorite endings. Now i'm into KPop and i finally realized this was BoA's voice! :D
A musical arrangement is a melody, a song is vocals. Also this version does not capture the essence of the original, only the tone and melody. Also Japanese language does not seem to have absolute states as English does which can lead to confusion. There is no difference between "have" "must" "will" "I" "we" etc. The original lyrics are: いくつ涙を流したら (How many tears must I shed?) [side note, try translating the first 2 characters: いくwith Google for surprising results] Every Heart 素直になれるだろう (Every Heart will be honest) 誰に想いを伝えたら (To whom should I tell my feelings?) Every Heart 心満たされるのだろう (Every Heart Will be fulfilled.) 長い長い夜に怯えていた (I was scared of the long, long night.) 遠い星に祈ってた (I prayed to a distant star.) 巡る巡る時の中で (Round and round in time) 僕達は愛を探している (We are looking for love.) 強く強くなりたいから (Because we want to be strong and stronger.) 今日も高い空見上げている (We' re looking up at the high skies today.) どんな 笑顔 に 出会えたら (What kind of smile do you want to see?) Every Heart 夢に踏み出せるの (Every heart, We' ll be able to follow our dreams.) Etc. this song deviate from the original to the point it can't even be called to same song
I've heard this song a million times and it reminds me of when I was younger [staying up late nights with inuyasha in the background .] it was so sad sounding and Beautiful in Jap, and to heard the words in English just awesome how it translate. yes, the wording and rhyming is a bit off but that's simply because it's a straight translation word for word. you can definitely still get the meaning and direction of the song... you know you do. if not, just listen to the original and with out knowing a single word she's saying , you'll know.. ok, so I'm high... but this is Awesome! Lol
You guys... If you listen closely and think about what she says, you'll understand what she's trying to get at... Its a beautiful song..... And means well....
The fact this talented lady can sing this song in Korean, Japanese and English makes translation meaningless. It is a beautiful song sung by a talented singer.
ʙɑʙɪ ɢɪяʟ I know what you mean I was in middle school and someone asked if I watch anime and I didn't know what they meant until they asked me if I watch Naruto lol
I remember tuning in when the ending of Inuyasha was playing, I saw flowing white hair and thought it was a girl. Then I tuned in to an episode, AND BOY WAS I WRONG lol
+donovan elijah that's because Japanese can't be directly translated into English. which is why the lyrics look like skipped words and bad English. it's not the singer's fault; it's just the closest the translation can get
Back in freshman year my English class read the book Stargirl and one of the assignments was to find a song with lyrics that you think matched the tone of the book. I picked this. And safe to say I think I got the best grade in class that day. Inuyasha getting me that 💯!
I have listen this song in JP for 10 years when i was a child. This is my first time i listen in ENG. Very very crazy fabulous!!✨✨✨✨! Both BOA and the meaning!!! //screaming alone F*cking love it💕💕💕
I was never that into anime but Inuysha was pretty cool to me as a kid, I saw it one late night on adult swim and remember hearing this song and thinking about how nice it sounded. It also remined me of a friend who moved away at the time
I really love Boa so much. She is a Brave and Fearless Queen of Pop!! The words don't translate exactly but the beautiful voice and sound are Music to My Ears ♡
my high-school friend is going to study abroad for her postgraduate grade.. I suddenly found myself humming this... I remember when I was a freshman in highschool (when I met her first time) I really like this song. now this some crawling back to me.. ;')
If lyrics are to be added to music, they do matter though. Nonsensical lyrics detract from the beauty of the melody rather than amplify it Here is an example of meaningful lyrics adding to music: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-v_0VYt2KYs0.html
These lyrics remind me of Ayumi Hamasaki's song Evolution. Also, I was so surprised when I realized that the actress for one of the roles in the Korean drama "My Wife's Having an Affair This Week" was BoA! :)
I know this was 5 years ago, but I think it’s cool how you bring up Ayumi Hamasaki considering she sings another ending song and Kikyou’s song ‘Dearest’
Wow, this is amazingly beautiful, whomever sang it from the Japanese translation is a very talented singer. I'm honest amazed at the variety of octaves she achieved in this song.
Yeah BoA is very amazing, she sings in Korean, Japanese, and English She's very popular in showing up in anime openings or endings Ex- InuYasha and Fairy Tail (from my knowledge there could be more lol) This song actually showed up in InuYasha, but of course not in English lol
This song is beautiful it's like it's telling a story about love but in the end it became very tragic Story: Kikyo is a priestess who protects the sacred Jewel/Shiko no tama nd Inuyasha is a half-demon who wanted to use the jewel to become a full demon, both of them fall in love with each other but because of Naraku who wanted the jewel for himself it ended up being tragic because he made them think the other betrayed the other one and thanks to that Kikyo died and inuyasha was sealed In the tree of ages and 50 years past her reincarnation travelled from 500 years in the future but still they couldnt be together all because if Him
Tell me babe, how many do I shed my tears. Every heart, every heart is not as clean as you. Shall I do? Don’t know how to talk about my pain. Every heart, doesn’t understand about their self. Was afraid of darkness cause I felt that I was left alone.
Anyone who makes fun of the lyrics, they just don't know how hard it is to translate from one language to another with original intentions. English version is beautiful as well.
OMGoooosh!! I didn't think I would love this version, but I have for many years. 🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶 I loooove when she say Growing, growing, woo baby, we can work it out.
I only recently learned this was from Inuyasha, I first heard it in a BulmaXVegeta Amv when I was a kid. Found it thanks to ChatGPT of all things. Thank you for this.
A lot of people didn't like the English version cause some of the lyrics don't make sense grammatically, but remember she wrote the English lyrics to match the beat of the song, she is very fluent in English, if you pay attention to the song as a whole you can tell what she as trying to say
Yes it's because it's a direct translation that it doesn't make sense. When you learn the language you'll understand. I take Spanish and when I've literally translated it back it sounded funky but made little sense. That's what's happening here, if we ask a Japanese person to translate it, it would be better
2021! this song still lives! this is a translated version so it wouldn't make much sense! most if the words are kind of patched randomly, only if you knew japanese to understand what she really sang! it would had been awesome!
