I found some pics of when I was younger, maybe from 1984/85, on Boxing day where the family were playing this. We don't have it anymore however. I did find some other old board games when I was up in the loft, Diplomacy and Poleconomy. Heard of those ones?

I and my brother had the larger edition with metal horses. From the mid sixties if I remember correctly. We played it to death and actually took the racing page from the morning paper and would race a full meeting, great fun.

Great stuff Pete! Seems likely that it's not dissimilar to The Really Nasty Horse Racing Game, though this looks a little more in depth what with training.

Yes a bit more in depth as you say although in the short version of the game you don't have to go through the training process but as I remember it that was quite fun because you could make the lightweight quite good. I also remember tensions running quite high on the race itself 🤣

That is a massive memory surge I used to play this with my brothers, lots of arguments, from what I remember I was useless, and my big brother, Danny, used to cheat terrably, all the best Garry
