We boarded the ONLY WINE TRAIN IN THE WORLD, located in Franschhoek, South Africa. This is a train that we have heard about for so long but never had the opportunity to go on.
Now that we have made it to Cape Town South Africa, this Franschhoek wine train is only 40 minutes away, and we get to go see what all the fuss is about.
The way to get on the train is by booking a ticket in advance as the wine tram does get full and then choose a route. There are 7 routes to choose from, so we had to choose wisely as we wanted to go on specific wine farms. The point of the wine tram is to go wine tasting at world renown wine farms in Franschhoek, where we will get to learn about the wines and taste many types of wine and how they are made.
The wine farms we went to with the wine train are:
- Plaisir Wine Farm
- Vrede en Lust (Our favourite)
- Solms -Delta
- Nobel Hill
We only chose 4 farms to go too otherwise you are rushed and don't get to enjoy the full experience.
