As far as Ag1 goes I know it’s a sponsor and you have to plug it, but you should also mention that anyone who takes any type of blood thinners such as warfarin or Coumadin should not consume AG1 as one of its main ingredients is vitamin k wich is a natural blood thickener or coagulant…. Therefore any Dr. Prescribing blood thinners say” stay away from leafy green foods….AG1 is primarily a leafy green food

Nothing half a million $’s trading up to the 60 won’t fix: Tri’s are stupid expensive, even the 880 Corsair with a trailer is close to $340k AUD.
@clivestainlesssteelwomble7665
@@id10tcertified Price is the factor with multihulls... but Sailing Dawn and Twilight show the way.. Performance Tri's will always be a bit pinched below decks ... If you follow conventional hydrodynamic thinking. There are signs that new materials and thinking may start to make in roads... but you might end up with something that doesnt look like a conventional sailing boat at all.🤫😉⛵
@clivestainlesssteelwomble7665
@@anothercar Thats carbon fibre .. and wt is a premium as is the ability to wash down and wipe away stuff when your feeding two little kids and a crew at sea. Theres also the fact that it reduces the risk of disease and pest transmission.. It may be minimalist to some but thats a personal choice a lot of live aboard cruisers opt for rather than for the more conventional domestic or historic maritime style. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Its like picking between a Bentley verses a McLaren.

@Jeffrey_Tyler
@Jeffrey_Tyler Год назад
It seems VERY unappealing for a family of 4, plus whatever friends/help is staying with them at the time. A catamaran makes so much more sense. Parents have one side, boys have the other. But instead they swapped out for a smaller boat just because it can go faster. Makes sense when they were just a couple, but it makes zero sense for a family.

Not many cats with the performance of a tri. You definitely trade space for performance, but to each their own. If space is your thing, monos are even more cost effective for similar performance to a cruising cat.

@SailingLaVagabonde
@SailingLaVagabonde Год назад
This is from a chat below and I believe will help sharpen peoples perspectives on offshore cruising. Calling the Rapido 60 a Ferrari is, and this is in all honesty, one of the worst takes I've heard in a long long time and goes to show you are commenting whilst being either unknowledgeable or at a minimum having expended no mental energy in your choice of analogy. It is obviously much more similar to a well appointed off-road 4WD. Its not a flimsily built speed machine (that is a TP52) it's a world cruising yacht with an unbelievably rugged design. What the real debate is over is how comfortable can a family be in a durable offroad 4wd vs a bigger, heavier and slower off-road 4WD vs towing around a campervan. Imagine though that you're in the desert and sandstorms can flip your 4wD upside down.

Guys I am so happy for you and your new boat. Reily so glad to hear you are finally getting into surfing. Be aware however that if you catch the true surfing fever, it will open a whole new world for you and your family as it did for me and mine. The benefit of that is that it will be all new content for your videos. I've taught surfing for over 50 years now and still look forward to every time I hit the water. You will find yourself charting courses in search for new surf spots, places nobody has access to but you as you travel the oceans. I am truly jealous. A little advise, when you start surfing, I suggest you start with a long board 8' minimum and as you get better progress to smaller boards. Please take lots of videos of you and Elena surfing, I would love it.

"Caribbean sailing show[s]" are about showing nearly naked women, as a bait, with little or no substance. Elayna's modesty (from the earlier episodes) is gone and she is surely using these tricks as well, thankfully not too often. I also see, as a mother, child neglect, but many would argue is not true. In my opinion they love to sail, their children come second. Mind me, they love their children, yet they are clueless when it comes to a safe, stable and structured environment for the kids. They have zero E M F awareness- electromagnetic exposure on modern sailing vessels is detrimental to anyone's health, who are practically living on boats, kids exposure is manyfold higher due to their small size. Navigation equipment on modern vessels is to blame.

My take from an old sailor: -that boat can go 25 knots, but if it hits a container at that speed...it will be a totaled. The only way to go that fast safely with that boat is to have an Scout ahead...or a sonar... -they r preping their kids to have their own America's Cup Team...to bring back to Australia and keep it there. -followers r asking for a new boat...Pronto... -this boat is like an arrow in the storm, the design is 60 center/20 ama/20 ama, that makes the boat more of a bouncy ride rather than bumpy ride....bouncy is much better. -by the way, when u hear fellow sailors saying that they want a fast boat to run away from a storm, well...a true sailor does not do that, safety when sailing is priority and there is not safety going at full speed...

You should go through the Estrecho de Magallanes. Its south to Chile and takes you to Argentina. You have Ushuaia there that is the southest city in the world. Its really really cute, and Argentina for foreigners its pretty cheap You can go up through the Atlantic, visit Brazil and go back to the Pacific ocean passing by the Panama channel that is AMAZING

Seriously the Rapido Trimaran is insane, what a beauty! Can't wait for La Vagabonde III! How about sail down the East Coast of Australia and then to Aotearoa (AKA Middle Earth)? And please! When you sail through the Cook Strait, you have a sail into Marlborough Sounds, it's absolutely stunning! The Kenepuru Sounds and Punga Cove is so gorgeous, sandy beaches and the coastline is strung with lush natives, you can also snag yourself a few blue cods and blue warehou!

You guys fueled the spark of love and admiration i had for the ocean into something I couldn’t have ever imagined. I’ve fallen in love with sailing, diving and all things water bc of your channel. On another note, Lenny saying bye to the camera made me realize that while millennials+ have become reliant on phones and screens, these next generations will view cameras/phones/etc. in a completely different light. Instead of seeing a camera, they’ll see an audience (I’m sure as filmmakers, you experience some sense of this already). I’m curious to see what unique views on technology your kids will have given their upbringing. I hope they grow up to realize how lucky they are for having such cool parents!

I wonder how honest you will be after digging in so deep on the trimaran - the wynns didn’t like the extra rocking motion , but I guess that was a different boat entirely. But if it ended up not being for you space wise and sea sickness wise ( and crew space) would you be able to let us know? Time will tell- all pretty interesting none the less.

I guess the tru-test of a trimaran is to compare it with a cat of the same price not same size. Seems you sacrifice space for speed though I don't know how much speed. Time will tell and as you say the speed needs to be comfortable and safe particularly with a young family. Would you have taken the family on the crossing to South America if it was a cat or mono? You never know- once you get familiar with the Tri you may be happy to do it with the fam.

Listen it does no good to try to convince people that what they want isn’t what they think it is. I’ve sailed most my life and a tri with two kids is absolutely insane. Cats are the only boats that have the width that creates that living room feel. But the reality is they want speed. Performance. And are willing to lose all the open spaces. For now. 😂. I don’t see them in it for more than a few years. If that. But to each his own.
