A hint so that when you are driving up your wooden ramps when they are wet so that you don't slip off is to get a walking belt off of a scrap treadmill and cut fit and staple it to the boards. Learned that the hard way loading up the 4 wheeler. The walking belt gives pretty good traction.
Really badass conversion loved both videos. My brothers long time buddy is letting us have any trailer on his property in Oregon and they are all boat trailers so we're gonna try and build something similar thanks for your knowledge old-timer
by design it is a touch on the tongue heavy side but that's how I like it. Still well within the hitch capacity. No fishtail action here. I loaded a pallet of mulch (75 bags) and placed the center of the pallet just ahead of the axle and it towed perfect. This axle position gives you options to put the weight where you want it.
