If you are familiar with this area and boating, you probably know how nasty the canal can get on the weekends.
This is a no wake/safe speed zone. This boat was going WAY TOO fast.

Hello Friends And Supporters Of The World Famous Shore Boating Channel: Guys thank you for another Boating video. I don't know when this was filmed but I long for the warm weather ANYTIME !!!! Back to the Point Pleasant Cannal where the water is usually choppy & the currents are fierce. Come on now people the areas calling for a NO Wake Zone is just a suggestion even though it is the rule. Guy's your video captured everything as if I was standing next to you. Well Done guys & thank you again, TMP from N.J.

There's a Marine Police Station right there in the canal n Cams so I don't know why they don't enforce No Wake on weekends.... smh.

Its a lousy thing to do when there's other boats but can't say I've never gone thru on plane when there weren't. His speed was about as bad as it could be, not enough to plane but pushing heavy wake. And pontoons don't belong in the canal, at some point someone's gonna get hurt.

Rules for driving boats are the same all over the world. In Moscow (Russia) there are many large reservoirs of canals and rivers. Everyone, or almost everyone, follows the rules. I'm shocked by what I saw.

I've never been to the Point Pleasant Canal, and I'm sure there can be problematic currents there, but from all the videos of it that I've seen, the majority of the rough conditions seem to be man made. Just about every boat through there is generating a wake.

Well I live in Michigan and I was talking with an officer from the DNR and I asked him if we as boaters see people speeding through the NO WAKE ZONE what can we do. He said Absolutely nothing. And I told him that I would take my 9mm and point just below the water line and when it starts to take on water maybe he will learn not to go Full Throttle in a NO WAKE ZONE???.

speeding through a no wake doesn't guarantee a big wake.i can run my Hondo at 70 mph and generate barely no wake at all.my deck boat at 10 mph and trimmed up you can wake surf behind it.knowing your boat and how to operate it makes all the difference.

The first mistake made by all these captains was at the dealership, when they bought lake boats for sea use

Sometimes we have to give a little gas to maintain control of your boat trim out the boat so it takes a wave better tilt the motor up a bit then the bow goes up.
