Two delicious eater steelies. Love drifting through there, can hammer steelhead in the spring too. None of that happening with this cold weather and looks like the lake is locking up! Stay warm Evo!

Take your garbage with you. Instead of throwing the first broken plastic roe mesh bag into the water take it with you. Try to keep plastic out of our water bodies. Thanks for the video.

C'mon Ivo, we know your better than that. Especially those little styrofoam you placed in there to make the sack float. But I'm sure you picked it up after your shooting.... Great video as always tho....

...totally agree and I usually do, but was just too excited and by the time I realized, it, it was gone in the current.....wish I could take that back....as a side note though, every time I go shore fishing, I typically bring a bag & pick up any garbage left by others...especially at Port D. Thanks for your feedback and for being a conscientious angler

Hi IVO - - - Nice couple of steel head's - looks and sounds like you have to struggle with a lot of hugs rocks there - but it's worth it as long as your having fun fishing right -

Wish we had steelhead here, or even just decent fishing. Lots of people that like to fish here, and not a lot of good water. But nice fish! Hopefully some day I'll get out for steelhead!

Are there any species of fish in the Niagara River that you haven't caught that you would like to catch? The Niagara seems to hold an abundance of different fish species so I thought I would ask.
@thundermistlures
@thundermistlures 5 лет назад
...the only fish down there that I have not caught yet are sturgeon, but they are protected so I do not target them :)

What size sinker are you using? What size pencil sinker would you recommend?
@thundermistlures
@thundermistlures 5 лет назад
The current varies in this area - so start out with a 3/4 oz ounce sinker and then go heavier or lighter as conditions permit :)

@@thundermistlures they seem to offer both breathable and neoprene. Looksks like you got the breathable version. Do they keep you warm in that cold river water?

what is the difference between 70% fiberglass 30% graphite fishing rod or 60% graphite 40% fiberglass, and what you recommend for a beginner catching medium fish? I welcome a response from anyone
@thundermistlures
@thundermistlures 5 лет назад
The rod with more fiberglass will be stiffer and more sensitive (better bite detection), great for bottom bounce or jigging or live bait, whereas the one with more fiberglass, will be more limber, and is better for casting lures or trolling :)
@rahmanibahie2511
@rahmanibahie2511 5 лет назад
@@thundermistlures sorry you said more fiberglass twice ...... i think you mean more fiberglass limber, and more graphite stiffer? is griphite and carbon fiber is the same ?
@thundermistlures
@thundermistlures 5 лет назад
@@rahmanibahie2511 ooops - yes...sorry about that typo - this is what I meant to say: The rod with more GRAPHITE will be stiffer and more sensitive (better bite detection), great for bottom bounce or jigging or live bait, whereas the one with more fiberglass, will be more limber, and is better for casting lures or trolling :) Carbon Fiber is a polymer, which is just a different strain of graphite

You should get a body mic to get better audio. Great video

Actually a dead cat is technicatl term for something that covers the mic to muffle or eliminate the wind noise :)
