Lewis and Clark did not find the Northwest passage but this river system has been a very important shipping route ever since. Not only is there major shipping navigating the rivers but also the Railroads take advantage of the river's course. As a result you can hear that "Lonesome" train whistle throughout all hours of the night and from our boats lots of opportunity for boat/train races! This is dedicated to my Grandson "Alexi" who is fascinated with trains.
