I love all of Dylan's music with the Spanish flair. This is one of my favorites. Thanks so much for providing the first piece of music I listened to today.
Since I first heard it I always loved Angelina with its surrealistic lyrics and such a beautiful melody. This instrumental short version from the movie is also equally beautiful. Thank you!
Angelina is a song written by Bob Dylan for his 1981 album Shot of Love but it never seen the light of the day and it was cut at the last moment from the album. It later appeared on the Bootleg Series 1-3 and it didn't disappoint. It's sad that it wasn't released on Bootleg Series vol. 13 Trouble No More.
mr tambourine Thank you for the information contained in you're message my friend. Keep up the good work to keep us all on our toes. Many thanks Gary Smith
Sadly, it was never played live, and thus not included. There are only two takes of it known to exist (from the Shot of Love Sessions), and one of them was released on the Bootleg Series Volume 1-3.
Curiously, this song figures prominently in Graeme Simsion's book, "The Best of Adam Sharp." First, as an answer to a music trivia question, "Who is the only woman whose name is mentioned more than once in the title of a Dylan song."
BOBDYLAN ESPAÑOL All of us Dylan channels would be the happiest people on Earth probably if all Bob Dylan tunes could get uploaded on RU-vid without having to think about damn copyright. And the listeners of Dylan's music would also be thr happiest people on Earth.
BOBDYLAN ESPAÑOL I just want to ask you are you maybe a woman? Because when I translated what you said to Google translate to my language it translated it all from a female perspective. Maybe it's just random?

jajajaj pues sí...yo sería el más feliz del mundo seguro jejeje
This is beautiful! Thank you for sharing. Anyone know the personnel or the circumstances behind this recording? Definitely a different sound than the other M&A sessions. I find it easy to believe that Bob wasn't really involved in this at all.
eltedioso If Angelina was recorded for Pat Garrett and Billy The Kid soundtrack, this is what it would sound like. It has some Red River Shore and Together Through Life flavour as well.
