My dad died a few weeks ago. He turned our family on to Dylan. This is the song to cry to if you’ve ever lost an irreplaceable friend 😭

Bob has certainly spoilt us over the years. To think that most of these didn’t even make it onto a official album back in the day ... incredible depth and versatility!

Every time I hear this song “I just can’t keep from cryin.” This song is so personal and yet speaks to all of us who have known or seen the ones society has left behind. My best friend of 36 years passed away from alcoholism on August 8, 2021 at 41. He was a PHD, and the biggest #Celtics fan you'd find. For XMAS, his mother gave me a long sleeve shirt that says "He was a friend of mine" - Bob Dylan... on the front. A Celtics logo on the sleeve. And, his high school basketball # on the back. What a gift. I havn't been able to listen to Dylan since. I just can't. The harmonica is embedded into my tear ducts. Peace

'Round Christmas time, my family would drive from Jersey to Long Island, to my Uncle's house. He is a giant Dylan fan. Turned all of us kids onto his music. After we'd eat, we'd gather 'round the fireplace to drink, sing and pay music, open gifts, into the wee hours. My Uncle would always stun us all, when he played and sang this. We all live in different parts of the world now. But we plan on getting together this year, no matter what happens. This is more than "just a song."

This song speaks to all of us who have known ones society has left behind. This is a great anthem song that show Dylan’s identification with innocent, unprotected and anonymous people who never had oportunitys. Thanks Bob for yous great lyric and truths.
