S. D. I use the words groovy, dig, peace and love, etc amongst my friends and I noticed it does five off a subtly positive vibe. It reminds people of a peaceful era of peace and love that once existed
SquidkidMega. Ok so I counted (yes I know I have no life) Dylan says man 19 times in this 3 minute clip. So that averages out to 6 times each minute. or "man" every 10 seconds. LMAO!! *Edit* Recount is actually 21 times in 3 minutes, "man" 7 times per minute!

In England “pissed” means drunk...I’m pretty sure bob misinterprets this as the American “pissed” which means angry...this is where the argument jumps up a level
We've got a bass player from the U.S. and he often notes and is aware of these phrase differences. Sometime he says ''Hey'' and I'm looking around for whatever danger he's pointing out but then realize he means ''Hi, Man''. :) We love to point out that the toilet is a strange place to have a bath in etc. Or ''my fanny's cold'' And we suggest he brings her over here and we'll warm her up.
@@ajg5138hat you’re hearing isn’t really a MN accent though. This is just how some white guys talked in the 60s if they wanted to sound hip. (basically a bad approximation of a black urban dialect.) Jesse Ventura has a thick MN accent.
"Why is Bob like this?" Because he was RESPONSIBLE and would be held responsible in the press and financially and forevermore if that glass hit someone on the head and killed him/her. He has a right to be indignant on the sole grounds that it's HIS room and he doesn't want to take heat for somebody that he doesn't even know. "Bob Dylan" aside - any anonymous person would have the right to be angry.
The entire sequence is a bit longer. Later Bob said to the drunk guy that he was afraid somebody on the street could get hurt. He's really right to be mad here.
this is the kind of comedic gold that even the most amazing director couldn't think of. bobs hilariously unintimidating voice, the camera pan to the confused guests, donovans attempt to soothe the situation, the drunk british dude begging for everyone to continue getting drunk with him, absolute perfection.

He was so angry that one of his loiterers embrassed him by throwing glass out of the window. Notice how apologetic he was to that elderly staff memeber at the end.

Maybe this right here is what triggered the "motorcycle accident". Imagine how fast you'd have to ride once you got home to shake off the stress of shit like this.
You cant convince everyone to drop "their lifes of comfort" for living in collective communities, smoking weed, growing your own food and Rolling in dirt. Crazy, but a lot of People think thats mental. You could create heaven on Earth, some People would still choose to live in misery. They want personal glory and Power, therefore not liking anything that doesnt resemble exactly that. "Winning" or whatever.
Shortly after this episode, maybe a year, The UK music paper "Record Mirror" published an article titled "Bob, the Beast, and a bottle of Bells" written by one of the two guys that were drinking on the balcony at the time. The bottle was placed on the balcony ledge. They printed "Whether it fell or whether it was pushed was immaterial, it was not thrown" The writer may or may not have been Norman Jopling, who was the paper's main Dylan correspondent at the time. He mentions Derrol Adams, the guy with the beard leaning on Dylan and the other guy's shoulder, whom the writer was with when he got invited to the "party", and a character who he only refers to as "The Beast". Problem was at the time Record Mirror wasn't a big circulation, and Dylan was out of circulation at the time of publication so there wasn't much interest. It was a great article, referring to Bob as "waving his fists like an angry rabbit"! I kept the article for a while but lost it. Record Mirror was the only UK music paper out of the main four at the time that maintained a sympathetic interest in Dylan throughout the period when he went below the radar until "John Wesley Harding". The other papers were Melody Maker, Disc and Music Echo, and NME. Not counting IT and Rolling Stone etc, they were hard to get hold of.
So is the mystery solved? There were two unnamed guys drinking out on the balcony (of Dylan's suite?) and the empty bottle they drank "accidentally" fell off the ledge into the street?? Man I don't care who they were I just wanna KNOW if this is what happened. And did the glass ever get cleaned up and by who? not that I care..

@@sadcatlotr I didn't find it, sorry! Norman Jopling, (IF he was the writer) was still around on facebook a few years ago but he didn't reply to me. I suspect the guy who told Dylan to f*** off could be "the Beast".
