I am laying in bed with covid, for the third time in two years, missing my darling husband of 55 years, who passed a month before covid was ever heard of. My grief is unquantifiable.....but Bob’s music accompanies me to my “safe place”, and seeing his videos, concerts and pictures, helps to heal the parts of my mind and body which are broken. I wish we had met you, Bob. Stay safe and well.
I have so sorry for your loss as .Mr Bob Dylan would say prayers for you and your family and may you stay forever Yong I wish you. The best in your life
@@Ridgerunner41 Turning seventy-six in March. “The Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll” was a breath of fresh air coming in a window that had been locked and barred. I was about 14.
im 83. Bob was the spokesperson of everyone who wanted to find happiness, to never see another Emmett Till, who hoped for heaven on earth. He still makes my heart young.
I totally agree. He has gotten me through so much with his music. I am 64 years old. I pray he will always be with us. If not this catholic women will always respect his Jewish background. Forever Young is one of my favorite songs. Bob Dylan taught us to be open to all people and backgrounds. Those who did not listen are simply missing a better life as well as great friendships for the future.
You shouldn't be bored my friend at least you've got a job to put food on your table, staying safe is all you need to do. Millions are jobless right now including the Lost of love ones
@@nikolayefremov1302 thank you so much for your comments ,I think I have a few years left yet ,hope you are well ,I live in Scotland , live long and prosper my friend
On the night of this concert, I was working in a nearby San Francisco hospital taking care of children. I pray that they all have stayed forever young.
I bet 95 percent of people who are listening to Bob singing this song are all great people from the old school the best of times 65 Aug 4 wow 67 on the 4 GÓD WILLING

This song forever reminds me of my wife who was the mother of my 5 children, whom passed away so early in life at the age of 32...Theres not one time I could listen to this song and not break down with chills in tears in rememberance of the most loving individual ive ever met, in my entire life. The mother of my crazy ass children. Whom i knew from the age of 13.. till the day she died...
Sending sympathy to you Ken Kelly, and to all who love your wife, for eternity. Memorial day brings me memory of those we have sent on ahead of us, especially the young ones.
I adore your honesty. as you spill your emotions out onto this page. I am in torment ( at the moment). similar reasons. I needed to hear your words . it help me get through my tomorrow. I in Canterbury U.K. aiming to get through tomorrow...with dignity. love you man
It's hard to have a "favorite" when it comes to Bob Dylan music. This one ranks way up there. I spent many miles singing along to this song in my chevy van travels. "Forever Young" has become like a mantra for me. I think it imbedded itself in my psyche. Now that I am in my eighties it has even more meaning than it had in my younger days.
Bob Dylan is one of the most influential musicians ever to live. He paved the way for many musicians like the Beatles. Dylan's enduring legacy is well and truly etched into the annals of history.
Hello @@asteroideb54 , How're you doing, it's been a long journey, and I'm nothing without amazing fans like you who appreciate my musical craftiness, All love to you and yours ❤️
This song on the last day of school in 7th grade (I'm a senior in high school now) My teacher had the lyrics to this song written on the board and had all the chairs in a circle and she stood in the middle and talked about legacy what we left behind and gave us her final life lessons. Her final words to our class were "God Bless you all and may you have a long healthy life and may you stay forever young" to this day she is the teacher that has left the biggest impact on me Thank you Mrs. Scheel
You now have a life lesson that will never leave you. What Mrs. Scheel did for you and the rest of your class (hopefully) is to open your eyes to the simplicity of life. At least for you, she did a great job. We need more teachers like her all across this country. I wish you the best that life can offer.
@Bob Dylan I don’t shower support on you. You’ve not only used Dylan’s name to highlight his music, but now you’re pretending to be him? Knock it off. Don’t be ridiculous.
I'm sincerely sorry for your loss. My wife and I have been together 40 years, but we could not have kids. Somehow I have always missed the children we never had. But we've got to be strong, and try to love and protect those around us. Love your wife.
This song from the "good ol' days" always brings me to tears..thank you, Bob...you will be eternally loved..Here I am 75 and still shedding tears when listening to this most beautiful song...
I'm a younger man of 73 but I feel you. I spend what my friends tell me is way too much time listening to music. I say that's impossible since YT keeps on giving great music from many of the genres I enjoy. It seems endless and I can't keep up.
I’m so glad he has survived his stardom. So many were broken on that wheel - Joplin, Morrison, Hendrix, Lennon, who else am I missing? - while he remains intact in 2021, always and forever refusing to step onto, or to stay on, any path that wasn’t chosen by his own inner compass. He seems insanely courageous and he’d never spend a minute caring that I think so. He’s living his own life.
Cp Java your comment is golden so true. Dylan broke all the moulds and shredded the music industry into fucking pieces. Thanks for listening to the lyrics of this beautiful man

So sorry for your loss, this music takes us back to easier times when we were young & carefree. Our parents were still alive, I wish I didn’t take it all for granted. God bless & stay safe ☺️
Saw Bob Dylan in concert years ago. He came on stage, sang for 60 minutes and left. Everyone thought he was coming back for an encore, his tour bus beat us out of the parking lot. He never said a word to the crowd besides singing. For a legend he was not gracious, or appreciative of his fans. Maybe he was having a bad day, I've always hoped that. Like his music but that night did not leave a good impression of his people skills.
I’m sitting in Canby Oregon having a homemade beer and listening to Dylan. It’s a clear night and the Space Station just flew by a waning moon. “Forever young.“
I walked into the last week of U.S. history in June 1965 as a senior in high school and Bob's music was playing. That last week of school the teacher made us listen to a Bob Dylan song everyday. On the 5th day he handed out a blank piece of paper to each of us and told us to write down what, all the Bob Dylan songs meant to each of us. We all looked around and thought, what?? I sat there for about 25 minutes trying to figure out what to write. Finally I wrote the only thing I could come up with...Life. One year and 15 days later I was headed for Vietnam. I've been a Dylan fan since.
May God bless and keep you always May your wishes all come true May you always do for others And let others do for you May you build a ladder to the stars And climb on every rung May you stay forever young Forever young, forever young May you stay forever young May you grow up to be righteous May you grow up to be true May you always know the truth And see the lights surrounding you May you always be courageous Stand upright and be strong May you stay forever young Forever young, forever young May you stay forever young May your hands always be busy May your feet always be swift May you have a strong foundation When the winds of changes shift May your heart always be joyful May your song always be sung May you stay forever young Forever young, forever young May you stay forever young
On this May day when, for the very first time ever, every single soul on the planet is living but one fear and one hope - at once - your evocation of Dylan's proof of the identity of Youth and Tomorrow is profound in thought and feeling, Victoria: All - in this instant - smile with me in the certainty of one thing - Sunrise. All in With All, Jason Kapnick
I graduated from high school back in 2012.. a couple months before the ceremony, my school principal called my dad and asked him if I would be interested in performing a song with my friend for the graduation ceremony. I was so happy. I had recently discovered this song at that time and I instantly chose this song. I suggested this song to my friend and she loved it and we agreed on it. I sang and she harmonized with me. It was a beautiful time. But the outcome of it all is sad because I don't see them or hear from them anymore... I just hope they all remember this song and will always be true.. I love you all Northlake high school- class of 2012.
I really don't know who he was until I I saw the movie The Last Waltz. To me he is one our countrys Best song writers that was my God Bless Bob Dylan forever young

Your only young once , but immaturity last forever ! Wash your hands and say your prayers, because jesus and germs are everywhere. Xo much love and respect, Sheri
The consummate wordsmith. We hear "may you always do for others" and expect the biblical admonition "as you'd have them do to you." But Dylan says "And let others do for you." The biblical quote implies you may mistreat people who mistreat you, but Dylan wants us to allow others the pleasure derived from helping someone else. In other words, life is not about you and your pleasure, it is about how you help others live. Brilliant.

When my son, Bobby, named after my father, Bob and my love, Dylan, was born in 75 I honored him with this song, which he has lived up to,. I am so proud of them. His dad was a Vietnam door gunner. Did the 3x's max. I wish this for him also,
I first heard Bob Dylan when i was 13 years old. I fell in love with his words, his music and him!!! He has and is, along with this song my favorite! I was privileged to see many bands of the 60’s at Fillmore East in NYC. Now that i am 71 years young, my love for his talent has never changed. Happy 80th. Birthday Bob Dylan... and “ May You Stay Forever Young “
I have most of his older L P ,when I heard Dylan for the first time it hit me something about his voice hard to explain, He has been such an important part of our Lives ,,God bless you Bob and thanks for so many wonderful memories
💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖!!!!!!! I loved the picture with Peter, Paul and Mary, who first released Blowin in the wind... I remember them. And I loved this pictures of Bob how He is now....😍😍😍😍 Thanks for sharing. It is a walk in the History.🙌🙌🙌🙌
Over 43 years ago. I am going to dedicate this song to a great friend who passed away recently! This is for you Bob Dylan Willis. Always remembered!! Dylan like Bob will always be remembered because they had a positive effect on our lives!
FABULOUS Bob Dylan :your songs are beautiful and great. congratulations and thank you for the opportunity to meet with you. with delight and your poetry excellent . Pena Gil
...72, in 10 days.... saw him 1st in 64.... last, on Maui, 2 years ago.... most-likely the Most Important artist of 2 centuries... sendin Peace, Love & aloha, Mr Dylan.... you are Truly, Deeply Loved ....by millions of Us....
Dylan said in younger days he didnt know where these lyrics came from. He was a bit of a profit whose words touched so many lives. May God bless and keep him.
This was sent to me on my 68th birthday four days ago...and I've listened to it over 50 times since. What a great song and video tribute to an amazing songwriter...thanks Bob for this..you've given me my youth back.
We saw first farewell concert for the Band. We were runnin' up west coast from Mexico, couldn't do second (roadie cousin got us in), had to get to Canada before next shift. Can you imagine? "Worker bee" missed the better of the two concerts cuz of what?... a J O B!!
I chose this song for my dance with my daughter at her wedding. Even if I hadn't been of "that" generation, even if Dylan meant nothing to me and wasn't the author of so many anthems that defined the world I existed in from '64 to the mid '70's... Even if I'd only heard this for the first time when I was reviewing tunes for the wedding reception... Even if that; what other song could I use for that dance with her? None, that's what.
one of the greatest sons of the rock era, IMO. when my son was really little, i used to sing these lyrics as if they were a prayer. i should start doing that again.
Just sang this at a backyard celebration of life while still on earth for my Aunt Freddie, 83. She has an illness. It was our last song and we dedicated it to her. She loved it and I made it through without crying. I love this song so much. Thank you Bob.

Play this at my funeral & dedicate it to Erica, Blake, Dustin, Carter, Donivan, Aubree Lynn, and any other grand babies I may have by then ~ I'm an optimist ❤️
I was a 16 year old sitting on the grass at the Newport Folk Festival 1963-that photo of Dylan, P,P,and Mary, Odetta, Pete Seeger, Joan Baez and all! What a lucky time for me!!!
