Much of this compilation of legendary Coach Bob Knight is video most people have never seen. The final clip happened in Fort Wayne, IN in 1981. Isiah Thomas did his best to embarrass his former coach right after they won the 1981 National Championship. Thomas left IU for the Pistons after his sophomore year. RIP Coach Knight.

Man I played football for a coach that was a combination of Bob knight and woody Hays and when I finished playing for him and wound see him often at games and the more I seen him, the more I loved him damn near like a father. I would have enjoyed playing for Coach Knight real old school man

Never ever saw Knight look so absolutely mortified than his listening to Thomas essentially undress him in front of a room full of boosters. You definitely saved the best for last. Suffice it say no love lost between Knight and Thomas.

John Feinstein covers this incident in "Season on the Brink." Knight was horrified, and it chilled his relationship with Thomas for some time. Looking at the tape, though, I think Thomas had 'em at "fuck you," and probably shoulda stopped there.

It’s instructive that Indiana’s greatest player, Isiah Thomas, pointedly mentioned here that he was already a pretty good ball player before college, and declined to give Knight any credit except for teaching him abusive and demeaning language.

Hardly, Todd.....he was very accomplished, studied, disciplined (not a rogue), went back and not only got his degrees but a doctorate. Successful businessman, Coached at the highest level, GM, consultant and for some of the toughest organizations.
