Bob and Margaret arrive home from another boring evening out with dreary friends, to find that their dogs’ behaviour has taken a turn for the worse. Advised by their vet that the dogs need more “stimulation,” Bob and Margaret begin with a walk in the park - where they encounter a fascinating couple, Clarissa and Colin Widgener. The Widgeners also have dogs, and are childless. The Fishes are ecstatic to have made interesting new friends, but during an evening at the Widgeners’ home, they find themselves completely out of their depth with these bizarre people.
