Unfortunately, my beautiful daughter died at the age of 36. She listened to Bob Marley almost every day. Every time I hear him 🎶 sing, 😂 I think of her even more ❤!!
Our generation was yet uborn, but marleys massage shall long live like the Hills, babylons killed lucky dube in 2007; but did you like him aswell anyway?
just saw the movie One Love, great movie, well done, I felt the spirit of Bob. The woman who played Rita will be nominated for a Oscar, outstanding performance.
Funny you should say that as I loved the movie and thought that Kingsley Ben-Adir was wonderful as Bob - he nailed the accent - whereas Lynch kept slipping from Jamaican back into English home-counties 🤦🏻♂️
When I moved to California with my brother he listened to Bob every day with his best friend from Jamaica Emil 🇯🇲 ❤️! I was 23 years old and now I am 60. I love Bob music even more today. Go see ONE LOVE it is AWESOME..GREAT JOB ZIGGY!!
I'm honoured to listen to the reggae music genres & inspired by the vivacity of the lyrics. Love from me from Rajasthan and Tamizh Nadu. Jai Sanathana Dharmam. Reggae music is eternal.
GLORY,GLORY,HALLEHULLA, TO PROPHET MARLEY & HIS ARTISTS . THE POWER OF REGGAE & THEIR MUSICIANS IS HEAVENLY BLENDED TO SOOTHE YOUR SOUL,BODY, MIND & SPIRITUALITY. ASCENDING TO OUR FATHER'S LAND 😂🎉❤😊
Bob was not just a superb musician and peacemaker, but a philosopher philanthropist, prophetic, freedom fighter, good looking , good dresser and a beautiful smile
Have you ever noticed after Bob Marley's generation of songs, he still remains generational. Sounding fresh for every generation after him and his music. RastafarI Jah Bless.
@@SoundScientist1exactly. However Damion is the closet to Bob in turns of messages whe connect. He will sing about a lot of controversial topics whe touch nuff people caaan😂😂😂. My favourite of all the marley children.
These days, at my age I start feeling the pain, because I think the chances to live up to Bob precepts are no more. I lived and believed in peace and love, now I am dead.
I grew up list to Marley. He was a famous star in the late 70s and 80s and stills to this date. I remembered everywhere I went such a coffee shop, friend house... etc. I would listen to Bob Marley. He took traditional regea of Jamaica that is based just on drum and introduced modern equipment as guitars, saxophone,keyboard..ect, and created a new version of regea that invaded the world. Not to forget , his lyrics, he talked about injustice in this world, the racism, the hopes. He was truly a pure artist who tried to use the music as a platform to touch and change the world.
Absolutely. Only those who lived during that time know what a true international music superstar Bob Marley was in 1978-'79. They don't come any bigger than how big he was. And not only because it was great music but he came across as genuine. There was no bullshit about him. What you saw was what you got. And I'm sure you know the very difficult poverty in which he grew up which just magnifies what it must it have been like for him to go into the stratosphere of wealth and game? They say he went back to the village where he grew up and they said to him, "You're not Bob Marley. You're an imposter. The real Bob Marley would never come back here, not to this dreadful place," or something to that effect. And agree Bob was a true artist in every sense and of the kind there's not many in the music business. He definitely had a thing or two to say, moet importantly, that's what I always liked, his brashness and outspokenness. He made you listen, dared you to listen, maybe. And that band, they deserve just as much credit. It was a true ensemble and cohesive unit, a true band, I guess. This performance is also just flawless.
Not certain where you got your information from but nine miles which is wheee Bob came from was not dreadful at all ! It is a beautiful hamlet in the parish of St Ann , trench town which is where he honed his talents was not paradise , but it was a place where the scourge of colonial brutality bred a pool of the extremely inspired and talented people like Bob to rise above hate and bigotry. Although not picture perfect trench town was beautiful in its own way . Respectfully from another citizen of that horrible place that you have referenced🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
I am so glad Rita is reaping everything now. Talk bout who he really loved. Rita put in the work in building Bob and he made sure she got paid. Big up Rita.
Brap Brap Brap I’m in Jamaica right now listening to the one and only Bob Marley RIP A legend Nobody can replicate him Jah broke the mould when he made him ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
dont get me wrong i love bob marley as much as everyone but he would still be here if he wasnt such a idiot. he should of went to a doctor instead of letting the infection spread saying if god wants him dead then it shall be. what a fucktard but a beautiful amazing one lol
I' m not jamaican but in my💚💛❤ l 'm THE JAMAICA, pèro rimano è rimanero italiano tutta la mia vita ,sono ITALIANISSIMO💚🤍❤ and ALBOROSIE is good too, he comes from italia als
I saw Bob and the waliers is Stafford UK in the 1980 with steel Pulse supporting, it has been the best concert I have been to. Rest in peace Bob and all. The profits that who went too soon.
am a proud Jamaican thank u all where ever you are in the world for loving our little island Jamaica land and the music and culture its a blessing to see people from all over showing so much love.
I would argue this is the greatest reggae live concert of all time. I don't even think this audience fully grasp that they were witnessing a moment in infinity.
The time when you realize, that today's music has no more meaning and soul!!!! R.i.p to all legends of the good old days! Your music has inspired generations! ❤️❤️❤️🎼🎼
Bob Marley stood against the imperial lunatics that stood, until today, to RAPE the NATURAL and HUMAN RESOURSES of ALL THIRD-WORLD COUNTRIES, the only way to secure, nurture and maintain theit vanity of vanities earthly gain and passing fancies. The irritated, exposed, shamed imprrialists had only one thing to to SILENCE him. They killed the PROPHET and thereby spread, promoted and Iconised Him and His Prophetic Message. May God avenge his previous blood on those CRAZY CRIME MINDED BALDHEADS, their Children and Children's in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Amen.
This man has never done a bad album. he has never done a bad song, he's just done timeless music of upmost quality for uplifting and relieving our souls.
I had the chance to see him live in “Porte de Pantin “ Paris , France in June 1978 i was 8 years old back then , We lived few blocks away from where the concert was taking place !!! Beautiful childhood memories of that amazing summer night , we were like 20 Moroccan kids and we basically sneaked inside without paying !!!! Until today I remember that show .....
Bob was charismatic and a philosophical preacher. When he performs it’s like watching spirituality before your eyes. I always feel the need to mention these musicians. They were incredibly disciplined. The rhythm section never sways from that groove. Many drummers can’t play reggae. It’s very simple, but not easy. Bassist never gets distracted from that bass hook. Nobody is playing where they shouldn’t be playing. For such a large band that is really impressive. It’s all about the groove and Bob… and getting the message across!
Yes, but which "spirituality"? Spirituality of rastafarianism? - Did you ever studied a little "philosophy" and "beliefs" of rastafarianism? It is totaly twisted "spirituality". "Communion" is a smoking marihuana. Marley has at least 10 wifes and numerous children. You think he was in his lifestyle stand up father to all his children, who give them all his time and care? C'mon man, be real, and look at the deeds of someone, consequance, not just pleasent feeling of his words or music which give you good mood..
@@marios8120 u tlkn about 2 totally different ppl… ppl hv layers, it’s like peeling an onion… no need to only mention what u may see as “bad.” I hear u but do u hear him?
Bob came as a messenger to the world !!! Part of his journey was having lots of women, not all will overstand , they all had a choice 😂 Saw Bob at Cardiff City Football Stadium 1976 absolutely amazing ❤
My parents raised me in the 80s and 90s listening to Bob Marley and the Wailers. I am now a father myself and am raising my children listening to the same music. Bob's music is universal love that should be shared with everyone.
To know that this icon lived for just 36 years and impacted the world like this is the Lord doings. Bob Marley was beyond human that only God can explain
An enduring genius as a songwriter and performer. I've been everywhere from the Florida Keys to the California desert, to BBQ joints in the deep South, rock clubs and EDM Festivals and I have heard Bob Marley songs played in each place. And regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or even politics, you people singing along. Bob transcends.
I just started listening to Bob Marley’s music after watching the movie. I can’t believe I waited so long. Now I can’t stop listening to him. ❤💚💛His vocals and musical talent is so refreshing and unique still all these years.
The first time I heard Bob was late in 1981, while I was taking a nap to prepare for my afternoon biology laboratory session, I heard a dormitory mate playing Bob's "Redemption Song." As listened to the wordings, a new feeling suddenly developed in me and I got up and asked: " who sang this song?" And he simply said, "One Bob Marley who passed few months ago" It was the first. time ever to listen to Bob. From that time Bob's music has been part of life!. May his soul rest in perfect peace!
Interesting that he said "one Bob Marley," as opposed to Bob Marley; who has been a worldwide legend years before you were even born. Lucky Dube is another great reggae legend from Soweto, South Africa.. don't know if you're familiar with him. I think the rhythm of reggae did much to enhance the meaningful lyrics of these artists.. who are now to be found world-over...
@@angeec.3312 Indeed, Bob Marley has inspired more than one. Today, thanks to him, Africa is full of many very good reggae singers including Alpha Blondy, Tiken Jah and others. It is even the second homeland of reggae.
@@bassirimakone4978 Actually, when one thinks of the rhythms of Africa, it could be said that reggae got its influence from there.. Yes, I like Alpha Blondy quite a bit; his message is a positive one also.
Just came back home from Jaco, Costa Rica, and I heard Bob Marley all over the place there. Them beach boys and girls love their Reggae as much as the rest of the world. I saw Peter Tosh singing Johnny B Goode in a video in the Philippines in 1984, and have been a fan of the music ever since!
I have been a fan of Bob Marley as a child, more so after his passing in 1981. But since the movie: One Love came out recently, I have been watching his live concerts and listening to his music even more, I have even more reverence for him, he was an artist and musician like no other before or after him. This man was a genius, prophet, song writer, performer and so happy that at least I saw him once perform live in 1979 at Reggae Sunsplash in Montego Bay as a teenager. I have been immersed in Bob Marley music for the last several weeks and have much more appreciation for this Jamaican and world legend...Jah Live Tuff Gong!!
Hard to believe 44 years since this excellent concert. A different era, but his music is timeless, it all sounds better and more heartfelt than most of what I hear today. Jah Rasta!
If you are ever in Jamaica, I recommend you take the twisty winding roads up to Nine Mile, Bob's family home, and see how he lived simply among his people, even at the height of success. The spirits are strong there, and you can hear the winds of change blowing in your ear. His love lives on in the hearts of all yearning for freedom. Big Respect.
Bob leff 9 Miles when was 12 or 13 yrs old..lived in Trench Town…weh u get that he ‘lived simply among his people even at the height of his success’….ah sah…the people who lived in the area that success gave him access n a house, were Jcan ‘uptowners’ n were askance n adgast when Chris bought the house pon Hope Rd….money n international fame made Bob palatable to yaad ‘elites’ n now, EVERYBODY have a revised view of how they felt n interacted wid Gong bk in the day
@@rasempress9724 That's interesting. Thanks for the info. I had been all over Trench Town and you'd think someone would put up a plaque or sign stating "Bob Marley lived here".
It is said, n note i coin what am saying very carefully, but it was said dat wen Bunny, Peter n Bob first started Tuff Gong lable, n released dem first effprts, Bob approached his paternal relatives for money to buy a bicycle with which to visit recors shops hoping to get the product stocked..the family refused n rebuffed his request…Jcan ole time people use to say that ‘time longer dan rope’..so fast forward n today , every puss n dawg wid the slightest link to Bob , NOW wants to highlight n embellish dat link…Bob did sing about the stone the builders refused n also said that ‘dem a go tyad fi see miface’…n here in 2022, we see jyst that….his face n name n music is EVERYWHERE
Bob Marley lived only 36 years and made this musical phenomenal impact on the world. His one love children with different moms continue to live out his unmatched legacy. Just sooo amazing.
@@jeffbaker5705 well said, yes you’re right! There are good people with or without. My one daughter’s boyfriend is covered, and he’s a great person. My other daughter’s boyfriend has none, and he’s also a great person. People’s true beauty comes from the inside out anyway, in the shape of their character, heart and soul
je me rappele bien un article au journal que j'ai decoupe.qu'il etait decede a l'hopital des cedres du liban a la suite d'un cancer a miami aux etats unis.
Bob is not a musician, he is a messenger sent on a mission by the most High and he delivered the message well. Avatar don't die, they change form, hence he continues to live through his message of love. Ride on Jah Soldier.
Blessed is anyone who was fortunate enough to experience a Bob & Wailers concert. I hear they were transcendent. Probably the world’s most important musical figure in history.
Bob Marley's children and granchildren and generations to come are also gifted in musical and other artistic talent as well as entrepreneurship so he left us his greatness through them

There was something special about Bob Marley. He had this electricity and personality that just united people with music. Reggae isn't massively popular...but everyone owns "Legend" by Bob Marley. It wasn't just a reggae album. It was something special. He captured lightning in a bottle. Everyone loves Bob Marley.
I was young boy in a semi nomad life and one day I heard one of his songs on a studio not far away from our house. I told my friend, I got to understand what this guy says and on it was the beginning of my journey to learn English. What a talent.
Its amazing how the words of this legend is know from generation to generation and across EVERY country on the planet! Prophet, great mind and a great heart filled with peace and love. One of the greatest humans to have lived! Never heard anyone say they wanna listen to some OLD Bob Marley. Why? His words are timeless. Relevant till the end of time!
Hello 👋 Susana. How are you doing? Hope you are fine. I am Zack Hudson and am from Denver Colorado, where are you from? You seem like a real country girl
Cette musique est une thérapie , elle protège du mal environnant , quand j'écoute Bob Marley je suis bien , je m'éloigne de ce monde de fou..Bonne chance à tous ✌
1979 I was living in Japan. Bought “Survival” and played it ten times a day. One of the best BM albums of all, but under appreciated. The lyrics and musicality…42 years later it is still relevant and one of my all time favorites!
Under appreciated ? Back when it was released perhaps ... still it´s hard to imagine that . I only got into Marley much later exactly cause of the terrible pseudo hippie type of huge fanbase he , like all artists , earned through tragedy , and mostly white people trying hard to be black , to do the " mHann " thing and smoke as much dope as possible etc . To be a BM fan growing up in the mid / late 80s ( and beyond ) you had to be a living cliché , people misinterpreted and turned it into a huge trend , the characteristics of institutionalized religion were very present indeed , the " uniform " . Oh well , sometime in the 90s poodle LA rock and Grunge and whatnot kind of pulled all those people into that new trend and then there was space for one to appreciate Marley minus the cringe ... lol, nice positive , coherent morning rant lol ...
I must ask this question, are you sure you are not a Graham? I thought only a Graham regardless of age should be able bold, a so precise. However my precious little angel our Hevenly father already knows that He has already charted your cost for you my dear child..yes there are a reward waiting for you that in due season you will recieve. To our Heavenly be the Glory!!!
I bumped on this today and the sound is so incredible. Sounds so original. Bob Marley was prophetic , the eye 👁 3s sound like angels 😇 the band is insyc...wonderful people and music 42 years ago. Rest in power Bob 17/11/2021
Watching MJ's vids gives me goosebumps, watching Bob literally brings me to tears......FATHER GOD you alone know why.....There's a saying: Die a Hero, or Live long enough to become a Villain.....JAH was not going to let this happen to such a blessed Human Being. Bob Marley reached such a height at such a young age, that when he it was impossible for him to reach any higher, JAH just said "Come home my son, your work is done, but your name shall endure forever". #WhataLegend.
