What a great teacher, transmitting culture, art and beautiful energies. One often underestimates the impact music has on us growing up, I can certainly say Marley's genius music has been great influence for me since just a child.
Had an epiphany while cooking dinner tonight. I suddenly remembered, out of the blue, that this was the best reggae song ever written, and I hadn't heard it in over 25 years! Played it just now and had it confirmed all over again.
December 1979 Montreal I was there at 19 years old seeing him on the Survival Tour, about a year and a half before he died. A week ago I saw Ziggy here in Grass Valley. Oh man. He is great and Bob rules forever!! My reggae king! I won't wait in vain!

I just love this song and all other of Bob's....I sure do miss him, and I had the honour to know him well..sang backup vocals on many live and albums such a gentle soul was he l love you Bob [ANNIELEE]
An experience I'll never forget-Bob Marley dancing and singing around the wooden stage at Belle Vue,Manchester on a hot night in June 1976.He had blue jeans and jacket on and the I threes had lovely long dresses and head wraps. All the audience were smoking (you could then) and the wooden benches were bouncing as we all got into the rhythm. We walked back home high on music and other stuff and through Moss Side, out of every door and window was the sound of reggae.
Recently,a youngun(20 yr old ) asked me if I'd ever heard of Bob Marley,as they had just heard a song and were getting into it.I wish now I'd not left all my records (2000+) with my ex when i left.
Big up Familyman Barrett! I must say this was never my fafourite Marley song, until I first heard a dub version of it, putting the bass line in evidence: man, was I blown away!
What a great song. I just realized how special this song is after watching the new movie yesterday and when I played it on the guitar today and sang to it. Bob was a genius. And he was Skipper, Tuff Gong, and Nesta too. Thank you so much for a big part of the music of my life for the past decades of my 47 years, Robbie.
Nem tenho o que falar deve ser muito...... Estou a imaginar ver as crianças dançando o reagguea uma pura riqueza pura magia luxo você é muito feliz eu gostaria muito de poder fazer isso parabéns a você
Gunja and Bob's music go hand in hand. On another lvl in an outer realm ✊🏾✊🏾. So many other ethnicities just reading comments. Amazing how many lives and ears this talented artist's music touched after so many decades. Soothing sound.
it was a sudden remembrance during the time when i was feeling sleepy since i have to study for the next day end sem exam, at the same time it was breakfast time so i went to university mess and sang this song out loudly just to make myself remember to never let this artist fade away from my memory! 25 years ago at the grand age of 6, 11 days away from turning 7, I was looking for the cassette of the album in my sisters room, found matches and the rest is history, literally.. I still have the cassette though, that's the only thing. Luckily my sister wasn't in her room but the rest burned 🔥 lesson from that.. don't play with matches kids!
I need to get back into the legendary truth speakers music. I need these powerfully groovin vibes to get back to my soul rebel state... helps combat anxiety and depression. . I need to uplift myself
Weed is a herb you have the option to add it to your life it's grown from the seed Bob Marley knew back then this has gone on so long let's turn it around and make this a better place
