"No Woman, No Cry" is a reggae song performed by Bob Marley and the Wailers. The song was recorded in 1974 and released on the studio album Natty Dread.
It is a song about his life growing up in the housing project in Trenchtown and his relationship with his mother. ‘No woman, nuh cry’ means ‘no woman, don’t cry’. ‘Nuh’ means don’t. The rest of the song is a remembrance of that time and the struggles of life in that period.
