@@ub6928 After he had about 5 kids outside and ignored her not coming home at night. Then for 2 months he ran off with Esther got tired of her and came back. Left again with other young girls from uptown or USA. Had another girl coming from Africa some sort of so called princess flying to Jamaica with a huge entourage to see him. Having girls in hotel room next her room please read her autobiography! He had Cindy calling him darling in front of Rita. She was taking care of the kids 99% of the time and he kept bringing home his other kids by other women that she took care of. She is AMAZING I could not do it!

What woman wouldn't be bitter after seeing their mom be disrespected like that? And having to "share" her dad with the whole world? For all intents & purposes, he was an absentee father once he became famous. So of course she's going to feel angry & hurt, especially seeing how Rita was treated. I found her parts of the film refreshingly honest.

Its not like Bob just disappeared and never cared about his children. He worked hard to make sure they had a much better life than he did. He grew up dirt poor. Thanks to his sacrifices his children had a solid foundation from which to build something for themselves. Rita also cheated on Bob while they were married. She was not a saint either.

I think Karen grew up in America so she has acquired an American accent.Cedella is also based in America as well.Yet they all are very proud Jamaicans.

Oh yeah --> Dialect not Patois.. from my limited education, I think Patois would be the Creole/French based mash up lingo predominantly spawn from the Francophone Islands.

People don't understand West Indian culture. We live history through slavery and the diaspora. Others read what was written which is from white people's perspective. When you stand with your history behind you, you become a living resource book of power and truth. Couple that with a belief in a Higher Power and they will stand in awe of you.

Rahymn Lukwaggo Bob Marley oldest daughter, born when he was a teenager. I am sure if you google her name you will find out she is listed as his child and a part of his estate, but is never seen. Lives out of the limelight, which is her choice. Just wondered why brothers and sisters never mentioned her as a sibling.

#Tailor Moten, She did know her father personally, he was her father, and when he was dying, he was always surrounded by others and she didn't get the chance to have quality time with him. She didn't sound bitter, just sad about how things went and honest about her feelings. I think these are human feelings. She lost him when she was a teen.

MelodizeLife i don’t think it was meant to be “racism” it’s more in the perspective that when you’re in a predominantly black area like Jamaica in the early 40s and 50s where being biracial wasn’t much of a thing yet, he struggled with being called a white boy when his peers were all black, yet at the same time there was little to no acceptance from his dad’s family. There are so many layers to race than just assuming someone is trying to be bitter toward the other, it’s a reality that no one is color blind and ppl do see color and it affects them differently. And that lack of acceptance did lead bob to be such a positive peace driven role model. But It could also be in the context that the cancer was from his dad’s side of the family and Bc of Jamaican lingo u took her words as something that she didn’t mean with the level of intensity you probably assumed.

I was wondering what she meant by 9. She could’ve meant it as in A) Bob has 9 biological children & adopted Rita’s other 2 children. Or B) Bob has 9 biological children & the other two aren’t his. The other two are Makeda & Imani. For some reason, some of the Marley’s deny them, even though they really are his kids. So when she said “11 is a rumor”, I think that’s her denying Makeda & Imani are Marley’s

Cedella seams to have daddy issues. I definitely can understand why. Bob was very loose and to be in your 30 with 12 children and 6 baby mothers and a wife is crazy. There is no way all of those children spent proper time with him. He was too busy making music and sleeping around with women.
