Bob ross is just such a perfect human being, i was literaly just having a nervous breakdown when I started watching and I almost forgot about it after 5 minutes. Sometimes I really feel like bob ross saves lives every day, even in death.
I started having random anxiety attacks, really out of the blue. When I can feel one coming on, I honestly stick on a bob ross video and just do some deep breathing. He seriously does something to me that calms me so fully.
I mainly watch these videos for this soothing voice, so I keep it playing in a tab while I work. Occasionally, I will open it up to check out the painting. It always surprises me the amount of detail that can be achieved in such a short period of time.
One more season remains. Nearing the end of the uploading of the series. It's been an amazing year of uploads of all the Joy of Painting episodes, and I'm loving every moment of it. :)
If you actually put in the effort to finish an entire painting without getting lazy and being sloppy just to finish faster, even if you have no "talent" and the painting doesn't look even half as good as his, I believe you'll experience what Bob would call "the joy of painting". And after that, if you keep painting, you'll gradually get better and better, until you can paint just like him or even better. But I guess the ultimate answer to your question would just be "why not?" Give it a try, if you like it, great!--you've found yourself a new (and awesome) hobby; if you don't, just move onto something else. Now, lastly, I'd like to wish you happy painting; and Papa bless, my friend.
I’ve been stressful in school lately. This calms me down so much. His voice and brush strokes bring me peace. Thank you Bob Ross for making the world a little happier
Welcome to season 30 everyone~ This was a lovely warm painting indeed. The use of orange and yellow throughout, along with the tree that splits down the middle, makes it have a lot of life. I especially enjoyed the stream in this one. It sticks out so much because everything else is rather dark compared to it. All of the bushes are highlighted with interesting shades of orange and green, and the painting looks like it goes into the fog in the background forever~ I enjoyed this one thoroughly. It was an excellent start to the season. *_I hope you all enjoyed my Happy Little Review~_*
The MLP Connoisseur This may be a dumb question, but do you ever get stressed having to write a review for these every day? And do you always watch the episode all the way through? Just wondering.
Bob ross is so kind and nice and loving. And his voice is so soothing, ,,when i was a kid i fell asleep on the couch because of his beautiful voice . and his paintings are so pretty they make me think of happy things. *like this comment if you paint* I looked through the comments and nobody is saying like "this show is boring" it all says like umm "I love bob ross he is the best painter in the world
I frequently watch The Joy of Painting on RU-vid, and it just bothers me people in the comments constantly bring up the negative fact that Bob Ross has passed away. You people have no concept of respect. Why not focus on the positive aspects that Bob Ross will always live on through RU-vid showing us a method of the wet on wet oil painting technique. This man will live on permanently for generations to come, in the year 3535, people will be able to watch this incredible and humble man paint.
It's not negative to be upset about someone's death. Mentioning death is not negative. The man is no longer with us in the physical realm, but its nice to see that he lives on in people's minds. It's sad what happened to him, but he was an inspiration and I believe the fact that people still come back to watch Mr. Ross after his unfortunate passing is a testament to how he has either helped or just been an overall joy to people watching. I respect Bob to the utmost degree, the man had a 20 year military career and reached the rank of Master sergeant and after that he spent many years doing what I presume he had to have loved and lived his best life. It's more heartwarming knowing he got to do what he loved as a living and touched so many people in the process.
Rest and peace bob Ross i just wish you knew how much i loved you you always pushed me to do art none stop i just wish i could let you know you made me one off the best artist❤❤
ben knapp why do you think you have more right to make comments than other peope. you're the epitome of a keyboard warrior hiding behind a monitor. people like you need help.
Does anyone else ever somehow totally underestimate Bob Ross at the beginning? He's laying these yellows and browns over this spongy black base and you're like oh no bby what is you doing? And then you get to the end and you're like, "BOB HOW DID YOU DO THAT??"
The most inportant thing about him is that He bealive in God, this man was beyond bless, and gave you better advises while painting than any psychiatrist would ever do in a dam paid session, plus his voice is really calming, we need a nothe Bob ross in this generation😢😢😢
Oby Wan actually, I am a huge fan of his, but despite this, I can attest to the fact that “a dam paid sesion” is far better for “psychiatric help” If you are dealing with something, I truly recommend that you do go to a therapist. :)
Finally got around to trying one of these. This one has always been my favorite for some reason so I gave it a go. My wife and I have water colors, so I used those. While it didn't turn out precisely as Mr. Ross' did (as to be expected with a different paint solution) it actually did come out surprisingly well! My major folly was using normal black watercolor paint for the start where Ross used black gesso with a cover of liquid white. Next time I think I'll do the base with a permanent marker which hopefully won't muddy like the black paint did. Can't wait to try again!
Jayden Lee en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Joy_of_Painting there you go the wikipedia page don't think you know everything you don't it is 31 seasons and it will end january 6th

Kay, then. Well, considering I've still got about 29-30 seasons left to watch I'm not particularly worried about that, but I do comprehend your despair, fellow Rossians. Just remember to enjoy each and every show, and do know that the almighty Bob shall reside in our hearts eternally, providing us with the true *Joy of Painting*. Now, I'd like to wish you all happy painting; and Papa bless, my friends.
