Even though he’s been gone nearly 39 years, it still feels like he’s talking to me. I love so much how he said “don’t get too much, or your mountain will turn purple. But that’s ok. That’s ok. They wrote a song about purple mountains.” So amazing. Rest in piece man🥹

It is impossible not to smile at the joy he takes in beating the Devil out of the brush. The man was a gift from God.

Bob Ross was the start of ASMR. His voice is very soothing and the sounds of the paintbrushes are relaxing.

To think he spent 20 years in the Air Force, becoming a Master Sergeant. Having to yell at people and telling them what to do. When he got out of the service, he said he would never raise his voice at anybody again.

This looks peaceful until you try to paint along with him. He mixes so fast! And he does it on the spot. What do you mean another dry brush? I used all my brushes already! Ten pauses and an hour later I finally caught up. Lol this man is a beast of an artist.

As a kid, I used to come home from school so excited to watch him on PBS. I was always so amazed with how he could create an entire scene in just minutes. His personality was so calming and much needed after a stressful day. This man is a legend.

this man was a sergeant in the air force. i couldn't even imagine him yelling at someone giving them orders. he even said when he retired from the air force he wouldn't raise his voice again. He also said after a long day like that, painting was his peace.

I still remember when Nob was doing his paintings on PBS. My Mom and my mother-in-law were devotees of Bob's and have fond memories of watching him with both. I miss him, but what a great legacy. Thank you for bringing him back to us and creating new artists. ❤

I listen to Bob Ross as a means of therapy to calm my anxiety and stress.

I love how Bob is a teacher at heart. This is the 10th season, but he still goes into detail but his techniques like this is season1 episode 1 to ensure everyone can paint like him.

This video is 5 years old so I doubt anyone will even read this but I have a little story I wanted to share that happened today. I have one of those tacky Bob Ross Funko pop dolls sitting in my window of my kitchen at home. I bought it a while ago and honestly forgot he was there. Today we found a little gift bag placed precariously on our porch. We cautiously picked it up, not knowing what it was. We found a card inside that someone had written that they walk to work each day and that seeing Bob Ross made their day, and that they wanted him to have a painting. Deeper in the bag was the smallest, sweetest little painting on a miniature easel. It was a painting from this episode. I just wanted to share. It was one of those moments I know I will remember for the rest of my life. Thank you, stranger and thank you, Bob Ross. You both have inspired me in a huge way.

I dont know anything about painting, but I sure could listen to this man talking and painting for a long time.

I literally feel like I’m watching magic happen when he paints. Even something that looks like it’s going to be ugly af at the start turns out so beautiful and realistic looking.

I love how it feels like he doesn’t have plans for his paintings. He makes the decisions instantaneously and beautifully.

When he says "You can do it, there's no big secret, you can do it." :,)

This is great for anxiety. Sometimes he will (in my mind) mess up the painting somehow or get too much color on one of the lumps of paint when he's mixing them. But he always stays so calm and makes sure to remind you that it is a painting and can easily be fixed with just a few brush strokes. I feel like the whole show is a work of art because it teaches so many lessons while also being an amazing stress and anxiety reliever. Great show!

I used to love watching his show. It was nuts how easy he made it look to create an amazing painting in the space of a half-hour.

three years ago, I was very depressed and somehow I found a Bob's video, painting landskap it's makes me feel well, light, then I stayed relax just seeing the magic appear in the canvas. R.I.P Bob

After four years once again watching. Great feeling. Bob has given me insight in to landscape and i just love paint the landscapes and collages.

When he first makes the clouds, I’m like “ Wait, why red, it doesn’t even look like a cloud!” Me 10 seconds later “WHAT! How does it look so real!”
