Plane flies fantastic! Love mine. Nice flight! I got lucky recently. Mine arrived with shipping damage on the right wing, but it's not hurt structurally, so I've been flying the heck out of her. Contacted Horizon about the damage & they mistakenly sent me a fuselage & hatch covers! Contacted them again & they corrected the mistake, but didn't ask for the fuselage back! So, my dad has the original cz cub & loves the improved gear on the new 1, so I ordered him a set of gear, decals, rudder & cowl. I have near perfect orange paint so for $79 after shipping he'll have a "Hybrid" cz cub with rounded wing tips! I think the rounded wings will look even better than the square. I'll post a video on my channel when it's done.
I would definitely like to see that Hybrid Carbon Z Cub... I still fly my old one with an Articulated landing gear set installed and men what a difference that makes... I recently posted a video of our last flights in our new Club's location, the Douglas, Arizona Municipal Airport...I invite you to visit my channel and check it out...👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 Have a great day my friend! Greetings from Douglas, Arizona 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Just finishing assembling mine, ready for maiden tomorrow. I liked your video, it helped me realize what to expect out of this plane. Those power lines at your field are such a turnoff to the otherwise beautiful landscape. Also, very smooth flying but if I could suggest using more rudder it would help your tail drag less. Thanks for sharing!
Great flight Bob!!!! Everyone needs a Cub in their hangar. These 6s size planes are fun to fly and a nice stable platform. Get the plug and play version use a standard sport receiver and go have FUN!!!!
Nice flying and nice video. Appreciate the graceful style, as opposed to kid stuff 3D (which is so, ubCub :) ) Got mine 3 weeks ago. Flying it a lot. And like the orange color, instead of the boring red the ads showed. As to people asking about mixing etc etc: None needed - use your thumbs! It's called piloting ;) Again, nicely done, guys.
Great flight but as mine it sounds a bit under powered. A friend has the same plane and it has much more power.. stock. I cant get it in hover before it looses alltitude due to lack of power. I will replace the AS3X with a regular receiver. It sucks that we cant disable it. Have a great week😊😊
@ 4:32...this upside down flat spin, I can't seem to get it down right on my new Carbon Z Cub SS... Help me out... step 1) invert 2) Yaw? OR Roll? 3) FULL Rudder to keep her spinning? It's a great plane! I've noticed the foam get crushed pretty bad around the wing root, since that's where I have to pick it up. Do you have that issue too?
Inverted flat spit is fun.Took me a while to make it looks like it does now. This isn't my best flat spin but I couldn't find another vid of me doing it..But here is how to do it.>>>>Roll upside down,Raise the nose while reducing power,Keep holding down elevator and add in full rudder and aileron. After the spin is well defined start to add power first and then opposite aileron. The trick is to only add enough aileron to keep it flat. Some planes will fly out of the spin if too much opposite aileron is added. The original Carbon Z cub did it real well and even better with floats on.My flex innovation Cessna 170 did it best of em all .Forgot to add>> turn off the as3x helps a bunch. I have been careful and so far no real problems with the foam.My original Carbon Z cub looked pretty weathered around the battery hatch in a short period of time. That's the draw back of foam airplanes. But they sure do fly nice.
Very nice flying.... Looking to get into a large plane. Not sure if I want Gas/Glow or Electric. That plane is definitely on my list of possibilities. Battery cost is a killer though. Thanks for the video. Again, great job flying!
My only gripe so far is the manual talks nothing about setting up a Mode switch while in as3x mode. Went in the receiver with my program cord.3 modes already there and set up but no switch assigned to it.Easy fix but Eflite should tell you that in the manual.Wait for the next vid we will show what she can really do.
Just got mine last Saturday and flew it Sunday. No rudder hardly. I'm taking out the AS3X and putting in a AR 7010. Don't care for the AS3X on it. Don't care to program it either. Great flying plane though. Not much different than the V1 which I loved.
Yep. They are at the end of the runway. From what I understand, they were put in years after the field had been there. Those lines have claimed many planes, including one of mine!
Love this plane!!! just like my umx timber this looks like a very good behaved plane, flies very slow, no weird things like my mpx cub xl, not only 3d like my extremeflight mxs. Just nice and slow, and if you want you can do more, only thing that is holding me back is that the servo's and esc are not up to the job from what I read on rcgroups.. don't give much about safe or as3x, How is this plane holding up? Need to replace all of the servo's on my mpx funcub XL to because they are junk, and it's not a nice job to cut all the foam.
the C-z-cub ss just replaced my Turbo Timber I just sold.No comparison for me C-z-cub wins hands down. It's only downfall is the cost of the 6s batteries compared to the T-Timber.It's a winner
DIRT roadie Wel bigger planes crash harder too, also transport, you need a bigger car, I have the Carbon Cub, the Valiant and the UMX Timber. which plane do you think I fly the most??? yes UMX Timber, easy to transport, does everything the big planes do, at a fraction of the costs. Must be a Macho thing, bigger is better haha
all mighty great 1. Mine did the same thing. The clevis came apart at the servo. I was landing and a few feet off the ground and just went down. It broke the prop but not too bad. but the control rod was off the servo and the clevis wouldnt stay on the rod.
Well flown Bob & wonderful video Joe. Such a nice plane and similar to the C150Z size I fly here in Australia ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YTlBuocu5t0.html I wonder how many have connected with those wires at the club? Regards boys Bellairvideo
Thanks for the compliments on my flying guys. And yes Joe does a great job with the vids.I have done the pole 2 times wires 0 for now. Seen it done several times though.
