I wasn't thinking I'd enjoy this interview a whole lot, but wow! This was so GREAT! I've had EMDR therapy years ago and it really did work for me too! Bob Saget was so cool! :)

Yesss EMDR does work! It seems like repetitive hocus pocus when you're doing it but the results (and research) speak for itself

When Bob mentions his sister's passing at 34 due to a brain aneurysm you can literally see Brittany's anxiety entering the chat. Honestly same though, my health anxiety and panic disorder is overwhelming asf :(

I’m sorry to hear about your mom Brittany 💞 promise most of us aren’t like that. BPD can be an enigma. Loved hearing Bob Saget talk too! I think this is one of my favorite episodes so far

I just wanted to hug you both when he talked about his sister's passing and when you talked about your childhood... I agree that it's not human to feel happy all the time and I can't really trust those kind of people... Thanks for opening up to us all in such a genuine way... ❤️❤️

its always so comforting hearing you talk about trauma.. because it makes the rest of us not feel so ‘not normal’ if that makes sense. im also doing emdr and its so helpful to reprocess things and to be able to work through them, its so crazy the things you remember. great podcast brit 🥰

Hey brittany, that's the first time i heard you say your mom had borderline..my mom has it a severe case and I lived with her till I was 20, I'm 44 now and still have such bad post traumatic stress and also severe abandonment issues, I totally relate to you. It's hard to explain how much its affected me even to this day in the pit of my stomach, I could literally cry at the drop of a dime, just want to say thanks for your honesty, feeling less alone.💕

When he spoke about the moment he knew he needed therapy? How he was filling out the form on the airplane and couldn't recall his name and address? Yeah I've been there too. I had a moment where I was so stressed a couple years ago with my two jobs and night class, I came home and just stood in a corner and looked at the floor. It was my break in between my jobs and I was supposed to change clothes and eat before the next job. But I stood for the whole 40 min and then I forced myself to go to work. That was when I started reaching out to therapists too. I had another instance where the anxiety was so bad I couldn't read. Anxiety is T E R R I B LE.

Keep trying 💕 took me giving up finding one, trying again, giving up over & over for almost 15 years now I've finally found incredible help, it worked after finding someone who had a speciality in my particular needs & someone should be able to direct you to the right ppl if they aren't it

Bob was like that, always. Not linear. Free association, but usually got back on track after going down a rabbit hole. Takes getting used to. His mind worked differently from most.
