Me and my two brothers and sister were at this concert at Cobo Hall in Detroit in 1976. I have attended many concerts since then and this still was by far the best one. I have seen him 7 times over the years and he never disappoints.. Glad to see him so much and well deserved recognition on RU-vid. I’m 78 and have seen artists come and go but none better than Bob Seger.
I was at this show as a 17 year old senior in high school. I was hooked and all told I have pry seen Seger between 75 and 100 times. I also seen Seger as a young pre teen at a place called Sherwood forest outside of Flint Michigan before Bob hit the big time. He and other local bands would play there often. Grand Funk, Alice Cooper. Ted Nugent. MC5, and many more. My brothers and I once pushed Bobs car out of a mud hole in a field where the parking was located. My shirt was covered in mud and when my mom seen it she threw a fit.. lol
Last concert was Nov 2 2019 in Philly. 😢 My hometown. I missed it 😭 because I had a wedding in Georgia. Thank God I saw in in April in Tampa. Miss his concerts. He always rocked the house!
Huge Seger fan here ~ Saw him 13 times live, first in '77 right after the release of Live Bullet and Night Moves albums, and the last in 2019 in Pittsburgh two weeks before his final retirement tour in Philly ~ Saw lots and lots of shows during those years and no one, NO ONE, brought it live like Bob did!! I love how he ends Heavy Music with "gotta go somewhere where nobody knows my name" and then the music count goes right into "Kathmandu' "if I ever get outta here......"
I jammed to this so many times, it wore out my album and cassette now I’m looking for an original live bullet CD, one that hasn’t been cut to hell. Nobody does quite like BOB. BOB IS THE MAN !!!!
One of the absolute great live albums for sure!! Hearing those drums on Traveling Man is a big WOW! Loved the blues soulful voice from Seger on this album.
I wasn't at this particular show when the recording was made but, I was present for this show when he played it in Saginaw, MI just a few days before or after this taping. It was an incredible show.
I had this album back in the day, so damn fine to hear it again! Fave song(s) would be "Travelin' Man/Beautiful Loser" but "Beautiful Loser" seems to have been edited out. That really sux!!!!
I saw Bob at my high school in 69 and many times later he always put on a great show you might try some of his early music like East side story and 2+2 is on my mind and heavy music great stuff
I had 8or 9 Live bullet albums on 8 track and 9 on Cassette! Missed a BOB SEGER, BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN CONCERT IN MY HOME TOWN IN 2016 ! , 2 LOUSY MILES FROM HOME! 25 -30 MILES FROM 1 of SEGERS HOMES IN WEST BLOOMFIELD! a little town called Highland Michigan at M 59 West ! , M standing for Michigan, Been a Fan since Live bullet Came out ! I'm 70 in October, NEVER made it to a SEGER Concert! .
@@kevinminne1460 Sorry Kevin. I took it the wrong way. I see what you mean now, I haven’t respected rolling stone mag for many years either but since they called this beat live recording, I have to say I’m glad someone at that mag has got sone taste. I just took it wrong Kevin, I totally see what your saying after I thought about it and after looking at your pic. Ha ha. Seriously. Have a very cool 😎 day. Please except my apology
To bad that the companion song to traveling man, Beautiful loser, was missing as was the ballad Jodie girl and Turn the page was replaced with a chopped up version.
Does anyone know where to find the original live bullet cd ? You know the one that hasn’t been cut . Thank you Jodi girl is a awesome tune and I don’t think it’s even on here, this one he’s listening to.
STARTED LISTENIN TO HIM IN 1968 BS SYSTEM RAMBLIN GAM MAN ALSO OUT THEN WAS JIMI THE WHO GUESS WHO SO ALL THIS GREAT STUFF CAME OUT ZEP I CAN GO ON TO MUCH ACID HAHA
@@danj312 Wrong again. You are thinking of "Get out of Denver": the 1974 Live radio broadcast on KBPI radio which is in Colorado. Seger's "Live Bullet" was recorded in September of 1975 and released in April of 1976. So you my friend are wrong, thank you very much :)
Yes it is, I’m currently looking for an original copy, back in the day I had the album and cassette but wore them out. It is a shame that they choose to cut these great albums to hell.
It's a shame you reacted like you did. Remember this was real music played by real musicians, not noise made with sound effect machines ! If you could've gone to his concert you might feel differently ! Just sayin.
