We lost to Kansas and still have the chance to go to the big 12 championship. Ou and Texas will have the last laugh when one of walks away with the trophy
@@unknownd3athBig 12 title or not ... Kansas and Ok St have bragging rights over OU for the indefinite future. So I'd say they have the last laugh for now.
The problem I see is the local businesses will be hurt by this BIG TIME. This game brings in more fans to their city than any other opponent and it is not even close.
Yeah, it’s a shame that it isn’t being scheduled - but I’m hoping some time in the future it does. I thought the same about Texas vs A&M initially, but everything ended up working out - I think it will be similar here
It will be at least 2030 before it happens. OSU is already committed to home and aways with Arizona State, Arkansas, Oregon, and Alabama. OSU isn’t going to schedule OU as another out of conference game with that line up the next several years. I do hope it becomes a regular out of season game, but it does feel like the end.
That's just simply not true. The biggest weekend of the year is Homecoming, every single year without fail. there's only been a single bedlam game ranked in the top 15 attended games in Boone Pickens Stadium history. Several teams have had more fans multiple times, despite being from out of state.
@@sdv917 I'm talking about opponents attending the game and just hanging out in town. Yes oSu homecoming has more than people than bedlam. Take away homecoming, it is bedlam for both schools.
@CadeOn5FPS I know it'd rough losing all the time to the far superior program. Don't worry, little brother will eventually know his place again. Just watch the reaction when they announce OU and OSU resume their rivalry. That'll tell you everything. Osu fans will panick while OU fans will smile for that yearly guaranteed win lol
OSU would be doing the same if it were not for Gundy. He isn’t next level or a top tier coach. He’s a good guy, great assistant and that’s it. Everyone has always seen that. Boone seen it and Mile turned that into “a donor shouldn’t call shots of a college sport team”. He is mediocre so OSU falls back. Ticks me off that they aren’t going to SEC but they couldn’t compete anyways
You know deep inside Oklahoma state is damn glad to see the Sooners leave the Big 12 Oklahoma State might actually have a chance to be the big dog for the first time ever and actually win a conference championship without Oklahoma standing in their way And it's a no-brainer if you're Oklahoma to go to the Southeast conference I would much rather see teams like Alabama Georgia LSU Tennessee Auburn Florida Mississippi Mississippi State and South Carolina coming to Norman to play that Baylor Texas tech Houston Cincinnati UCF Brigham Young west vagina Kansas Oklahoma has carried the Big 12 for years and they're getting awful damn heavy and not only at football but other sports as well it's time to move on Oklahoma State can start them a new rivalry with Tulsa since they love scheduling cream puffs
@@zacharydowell6991 everybody's more of a threat than Oklahoma right now but if Oklahoma State isn't worrying about the Sooners why this weak ass Mike going to continue to talk about them? We all know why because ticket sales are going to drop without the centers in the conference nobody gives a damn about Cincinnati UCF or Houston
@@GeneShuorts no the funniest thing I've heard in a long time is Mike gundy getting on his knees for chubba Hubbard somebody needs to wipe the trouble Hubbard off of his chin
Who cares what Bob Poops has to say about anything. He quit. Hasn’t been the coach at OU for over 6 years. He had his time spout off crap, and did quite often. Big Bobby just needs to defend the current head coach. Didn’t he fire the current coach because of crappy defense? Turned out that Venables was an outstanding defensive coordinator. OU players just not as committed to the team as other players at bigger name programs. OU hasn’t done anything of significance for several years except choke in the big game.
@@LimitlessSportsI mean I’m a Texas fan and I know winning conference championships means something. I don’t know what this guys on saying OU hasn’t done anything in recent years.
@@kennypowers1945 The Huskers, who I respect as a Sooner, screwed up when your dumb AD fired Solich for no reason. Then you joined the B10.😂 Huskers never recovered after that. My Sooners will be fine. As far as former coach Riley, he lied to the Sooner Nation while finalizing his USC deal. That makes him a lier.
Would rather play the teams in the SEC than play games in Manhattan, Lawrence, Stillwater, Lubbock, Morgantown, Waco, Ft. Worth. Give me the SEC and the teams we will play and the competition any day! May not be 11-1 or 10-2 every year but it will be much funner and competitive. Period and you know it! 😉
After this year bob stoops is coming back an bv is gonna train under him as the assistant head coach… if they keep him that’s the only thing that will save him from embarrassment for 20 years!!
I think a lot of people are quick to say Venables doesn't have what it takes to be a head coach. Give it a year or two and I believe he will prove a lot of people wrong.
@@LimitlessSports he needs help he’s never been a head coach before. I’m an ok state fan so I don’t care what ou does. He’s to worried about making people like him and not being the defensive bv that we all saw at Clemson. First thought I had when I heard he got the job was oh sheet. This dude has a level of intense smash mouth football nobody in the big twelve has. I thought he was a great hire but he needs some help to get goin
@@coatsfamilyoperations9561I think BV is doing amazing. OSU should’ve promoted Jim Knowles in my opinion and moved off Gundy m. Venables has OU playing the best defense we’ve played in 15 years in year 2. Our offense isn’t amazing but either way I think he’s going to prepare us for the SEC more than Lincoln would’ve. I hope OSU figured things out bc I like OU and OSU being good, big OU fan but still makes me sad seeing how far OSU has fallen. Time for Gundy to go imo.
I don’t know how OU thinks they’ll make it in the sec when they can’t beat West Virginia AT HOME and apparently teams like West Virginia don’t compare to teams that are coming in to play them next year
@@LimitlessSports by your logic texas owns y’all’s ass overall too 🤣 by ALOT. And they just added to it today. So it would be stupid to go by over all record since ou is garbage now. I guess that’s all you have now
@@TacoMan-qu7du fun fact for you - if Oklahoma State won the Big 12 title every other year from here on out they would match the number of conference championships OU has by 2048 😁
@@LimitlessSports Interesting how you bring that up, yet every fan in your fanbase always says “We don’t want conference championships, we want national championships”. So really you act satisfied by those title games in order to flex on schools with recruiting classes in the 40’s and 50’s (tough, I know). Then turn around and complain about not having any national titles since before the towers fell….so which is it?
I don’t see any rips here!!! Please fix the lights that go on & off to not piss your opponents off while they visit and fill-up as much as you like ! Bye OU
I’m not certain this is him “RIPPING” anyone. If you listen to Gundy’s last statement about bedlam. He doesn’t rip anyone either. Maybe OU will do great, in t he SEC. Definitely will fair better than Texas. I don’t really buy the hype of the SEC. It makes a lot of money. But, I think once you get outside of Bama and Georgia, you don’t really have any top tier teams. So, with that said, OU may very well dominate the SEC west. Not if they play like they did against KState. But, perhaps down the road. Once Venebles is able to get his staff set how he wants it.
Oh yeah, rip was definitely an exaggeration. Move to the SEC is completely money related - but I think the conference does hold some prestige (debatable as to whether or not it is warranted) compared to others. I'm thinking Oklahoma will be fine in the SEC, but definitely won't dominate it like they did the Big 12
OU won’t hold a candle to Texas now that NIL is here. Single players at multiple schools have made more in one year than the entirety of OUs athletics in two years. 6th poorest state in the country lol
@@matthewjones7887 it’s going to be pretty funny when “poor little Oklahoma” does great in the SEC. I’m sure people will find some other excuse though 😂
@@freshprince1784 1 of the top 15 attended games in OSU history is bedlam. We sold out Arkansas Pine-Bluff a couple weeks ago. We don't need bedlam to fill the stadium. Keep buying what OU and their admin is selling...you're about to become a perennial 9-3 or 8-4 team in the SEC.
@@sdv917 listen to yourself bud. You can name the number of games you sell out besides OU on one hand. It’s ok to admit your school needed bedlam more than ours.
@@freshprince1784 teams we've sold out not named OU - Baylor, TCU, Kansas, West Virginia, TCU again, Lamar, Kansas State, Kansas State again, Baylor again, Texas, Arkansas Pine Bluff(this year), Texas Tech (this year), Texas (this year). I'm guessing we'll sell out West Virginia and Iowa State this year too. We'll have 5 sellouts this year without bedlam on the schedule. We don't need bedlam to sell out. Get in line if you want to play non-conference.
Click bait. He didn’t rip OK State. But still, his comments leave me lost-are OU fans supposed to celebrate because the Sooners will continue to fill their stadium? Most fans define success in terms of competing for conference and national championships. OU won’t be doing that this year or for a long into the future.
Why is Bob even speaking ...ain't nobody but sooner fans care about what he says..he better be looking for a new coach not Venables..to hang in the S.E.C
@@WrongPronoun I'm with you ..sec is so over ranked ...I'm mean one side you have georgia and Tennessee..wow what a tough schedule.. on the other side you have lsu and Bama ...nobody else...big12 most the teams like this year are ranked every week ...tcu play 3 top 10 opponents...nobody else has done that yet...even beat oklahoma and oklahoma state ,kansas, and have texas this week ..every year big 12 brings it ..and if the sooners get back to being the sooners of the big 12...the sec is about to taste the red dirt
Bob Stoops is the only thing OU has to keep recruits interested in OU. No one cares about filling your stadium Bob. Gundy wasn't in a pissing contest with OU. He was tired of catching the blame for Bedlam ending even though it's obvious who killed it and laid out simple facts.
Stoops, remember your last lost against state,oh wait you lost to Kansas, well visiting teams will enjoy skyboxes watching Oklahoma getting pimp slapped by visiting SEC!!
SEC cares about money, not how many titles you have. Y’all only brought in $3.9 million, your costs were $3.8 million. Y’all are a cash cow for Texas, that’s why y’all are going to the SEC
zeroU has 1 title since 1986 & played in the championship 8 times n the last 19 years losing every attempt.. Since they added ichabod crane venables they've had the worst season since 1994.
who n gawds creation is talking about osu= "Joke SU" ... but speaking of inferior universities & their coaches, the Gundy bros are/were 2 of the biggest causes of both colleges losing so many games. OU fired 1 now its time 4 the other 2 go.@@Joemama28731
Maybe with the Sooners, and the Longhorns leaving the Big 12, the Cowboys might have a chance to play for more championship games, in the Big 12 only !
Now it makes sense why Lincoln Riley left- Bob has been calling the shots the whole time since he “retired.” It makes sense why Coach Gundy used the “gaslighting” example with the Gooners. After all, Bob kept a guy on the team a few years who broke a girl’s face so I guess abusive behavior is just common to them down there in Norman.
No we know why Lincoln Riley left it's because he's afraid of the southeast conference he doesn't want any part of it and he will leave USC before they go to the Big ten he wants to coach in a cream puff conference so he can be the big dog
