Bob Tasca III Wins Back-to-Back Funny Car Finals at 2019 NHRA Summit Nationals 

On June 23rd, 2019 after waiting seven years for a Funny Car win, Bob Tasca III claimed back-to-back victories, triumphing at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals just one week after his Bristol win. In an exhilarating final round, Tasca defeated Jack Beckman, securing his sixth Nitro Funny Car win and eighth overall.
Tasca's red and white Motorcraft Ford powered through qualifying with three-second passes and continued the momentum into raceday. He knocked out former world champ Matt Hagan in round one with a 3.957, followed by a 3.99 against Paul Lee in round two. In the semifinals, Tasca faced his longtime friend and rival John Force, defeating him with a 3.98 to Force’s 4.05.
Beckman, despite a strong qualifying performance and early-round victories, smoked the tires early in the final, giving Tasca the edge he needed to claim victory.
