Bob and James's story reminds me so much of my story of my cat, Boogie, and I. I am disabled due to a rare connective tissue disease and when I first began to become too ill to work anymore in my early 20s I became very depressed and had even gotten to a point that I didn't want to live. Then Boogie was found by my husband and he brought him home to keep me company while my husband goes to work. And it was almost immediately that Boogs knew when I wasn't feeling well and he would come and sit right beside me, like he is comforting me when I feel bad. We've had him now for nearly five years and if I had a dime for every painful night this cat has sat by my side then I'd be a millionaire.
what? so far one of the best movies, after so much junk to see and they call it making a movie. yeah right! Bob is hope for humanity; they should make movies like this one more often. 🐈
Bob ... I have to look at all the videos and just can't forget you. You are so sadly missed .. you are a special kitty .. you remind me so much of the kitty I had to find another home for when we moved to a new house five years ago. His name was Whisky. I can honestly say that I do not think I have ever seen a more beautiful cat than Bob. It is a truly amazing story and I wish all the very best to the exquisitely unique Bob and dear James.
yeah he looks just like my old cat Thumper (And yes he was named after a character from a Disney movie) and though hes been gone a great number of years now i miss him a lot (SOB) :(................
Bob is very smart and beautiful cat! His eyes...just amazing! If only cats could talk...Bob could talks sooo much things, I'm sure! I've just finished reading your book, James, and it is so emotional! I'm living with two "girls" named Thelma & Louise, I adore cats. I think that nothing happens by chance...."Bob was waiting for you, that day"! Always take care of you!

The bond James and Bob have formed is magical, and it sickens me that people would consider it "abuse" or "unnatural". Cats are independent animals, if he didn't want to be with James then he wouldn't be there. I find it absolutely amazing at how James saved his life that day, when Bob was badly injured, and its almost like Bob recognised James' selfless act and re-payed him, by helping James put his life back together. I find it inspiring how you both helped each other through such hard times.

The care and compassion James showed to Bob when he was ill and in pain was repaid by Bob helping James get off drugs and now their love story has made James a rich man. It's very moving.
I just finished the book and after reading the last chapter realised that it is a true story. am watching the u tube clips on u tube about him. What a cat and what a fella! lovely book.

The color does NOT matter. It's the HEART INSIDE that MATTERS. Black cats are just as lovable as ginger cats, as calico cats, as grey or white cats. Cats know and sense if they are loved. Their outer coloring matters NOT one bit.
Young Raines, I agree with you. It is obvious here that James and Bob have a connection like no other. I am in the beginning of the first book where James tries to send Bob on his way, but Bob refuses to leave. I admire Bob's persistence. He and James are world famous by their uncanny relationship.
Such a good cat, you can put scarfs on him and when James sit him down he won't go anywhere and the high fives is the best if not the cutest everrr, aww >^..^
I am so happy for Bob and James. He know lives happily in a home, is an advocate for homeless cats, is producing animated films, books, and more. Happy so much for them.

As a cat lover, this story is just so awesome and I can’t thank Bob and James enough for correcting misinformation that cats are not friendly as much as dog. Rest in peace sweet heart❤🐱 Sending love from South Korea.
Everybody loves these two and yet separately they were ignored. Back in 2007 Bob was one of many thousands of cats either dumped or abandoned like my ginger girl Goldie was, and apparently no one cared what happened to him. Meanwhile James was just one of those unfortunate "invisible" street people found in every big city and many smaller ones. I hope their story is helping lots of other invisible ones out there.

Bob, I've read all three of your books, and I have a sweet little orange Persian kitten who was found almost dead in a field. He's a miniature version of Bob, and a wonderful member of our family. Thank you so much for telling your story, you've brought a lot of love and warm feelings to an incredible legion of fans. I hope Bob still has many years left with you.

Bob and james story is a fantastic story about the darling cat bob and james that lived on the streets and look ing forward to a long time. Together i think it is so wonderful.
Well said..i have been involved with cats and dogs rescue my all life,and if there is one thing I can say by experience is that you cannot force a cat to do anything it doesn't want to..believe me,Bob is alert and awake,there are no drugs involved in his behaviour...also,try to force a cat to take a bus or stay still in a busy street if he doesn't want to! I have met a few Bobs myself during the years..from the one who loves riding the bike with his owner to the one who loves boats and water..
