I hear ya Patrick! It’s a dope figure no doubt. It’s one of the best in the entire line for sure. In the top ten (maybe top 15) best figures of all time IMO. Even though you don’t collect the line, just the fact that you own this figure shows you have good taste. Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it. I appreciate you watching and commenting!
All right, you’re gonna make me dig mine out of my collection and put on display now. Re-review is always bad. I always look forward to it. So officially those were Wookie braids but I think that’s in law now I’m sure Disney did away with that idea. Yeah when I was growing up in the expanded universe, those were working grades, however, you can call cat braids, that’s pretty awesome. Definitely put a whole new spin Bob working with Luke in The Mandalorian.
Not familiar with mafex cuz I don’t collect imports. But I know some are better than what Hasbro puts out. But there’s quite a few Hasbro products that are better and more accurate than imports like SHFiguarts and mafex. But that just comes down to preference and what that collector prefers. I know there are some collectors that mix match lines. As long as they scale well together, it works.
I decided to check out the mafex version of boba fett and I can’t find one for under 50 bucks. Iv searched on some third party Chinese websites, Big Bad Toy Store, Amazon, eBay, ect. I can’t find anything under 50 bucks. Which definitely isn’t bad for a cool figure, but it’s definitely more expensive than Black Series. And while it has better articulation from what iv read it’s just as fragile as other imports. Shfiguarts is notorious for being very fragile and needs to be handled carefully. The mafex seems more accurate with some of the battle damage. But the flight suit looks a bit off to me. And overall the proportions of the Black Series version looks more realistic. The mafex version looks skinny. Like Boba ain’t been eating. lol. While the mafex is more expensive (and this you should expect high quality) the black series version holds its own against it IMO. While details and articulation seem a better, the look and overall quality of TBS version is damn good. Especially considering it’s a 25-35 dollar figure (depending on what price you get it for Ofcourse).
@TheStonedMandalorian yeah, I'll admit ot looks like his legs are skinny. I'm not knocking TBS version. It's awesome....well after you fix his helmet and weather him up a bit. TBS SERIOUSLY needs to make a new ESB Fett using this mold. The one we have now just doesn't hold up, but I also have the Mafex ESB Fett which is basically the ROTJ Fett only different colors. I also switched out their rubber capes for soft goods capes by OT customs. They're beat up and tattered with holes, etc... It really makes a difference. If you decide to get a soft goods cape only get the ones from OT customs. They're the best in marker....and cheap too. Under $20
@@RyanByrne999 yea I definitely need to fix that warped helmet no doubt, and I’d love to give his dark suit a bit of a dark wash. The ESB version in TBS definitely needs an updated mold. That 2013 mold is just soooo freakin dated now. A frame legs, barely any elbow articulation. Not a terrible figure, but there’s so much to be desired. It could be better for sure. Especially after the way the engineered the ROTJ mold. That’s an 11 year old figure. It’s far overdue for an update. Yea I agree with ya there. A softgoods “cape” would definitely take both of them (mafex & Black Series) to a whole other level. I may end up doing that one day perhaps.
If you’re gonna point out something is “misinformation”, you could at least go on to explain WHY you have come to that conclusion. (This is not to be rude. I am genuinely curious what you’re talking about.)
