Ay at least he always gives a detailed review of what he thinks of these albums. It's not like he's just calling it trash with no context so I don't see how anyone could be mad at him for just having an opinion
Lets be real for a minute, if anyone else made this exact same album nobody would care for it. Its only cause the destroy lonely brand. As a whole package yea its cool, but strictly music, its not impressive
since fantano has listened to almost every album ever, when he reviews he takes into consideration the album itself, but also the time it was released and if it will age well. if were being honest, ein 4-5 years nobody is going to listen to 90% of this album, and the same goes for X by ken Carson. carti created a wave and both ken carson and lone are not adding anything big to it and are getting very carried by aesthetic.
@@Mystic.ape. adding 1 instrument and flow to a sub genre is not a big change at all. he made an album, 26 songs mind you, with no interesting dynamics throughout the song or memorable moments or lyrics. at most 2-3 songs from this album will actually be played by someone unless there a 99 overall hall of fame opium dick rider. I don't know what you mean by "hard guitar beats" but WLR has a lot of heavy guitar backings. in general, its just very middle of the ground in everything, and because of all the songs and lack of variety if i looked at the track listing i couldn't tell you how the song went because they all melt into each other.
@@Mystic.ape. we know 99% of the underground has no bars, so you have to make up for that with interesting flows, interesting cadence/voice change, catchy hooks etc. which it fails in. the only thing it does good is the "opium" feel and aesthetic that they've been running with for awhile.

WLR is just as bad as this album tbh, the mixing on some of the songs are hard to listen to, the bars are mid, hella times Carti said the same 5 words as a hook. Think about how lazy his bars were in “No Sleep” “Rockstar Made” and “Go to the Moon”. Only thing that saved that album was the wait and culture around it. People like Carti so WLR “grew on everyone”. Not to sound cringe but I’ve had the same opinion of WLR since the beginning. And the Only song on WLR with hard guitars is On that Time. The rest was rage and hits of old carti beats, maybe rockstar made has guitar but it’s really synths that sound like guitars. WLR took time and this will too. Personally there are plenty of songs I have on repeat and when they get old there other songs to play
I like lone a lot, but I feel the only reason he isn't getting cooked for this is because of the projected first week sales partially due to the massive track count, I think if the sales ending up being much lower than the projection that he will get flamed
Just because you listen to multiple albums doesn’t mean what you are saying is valid he’s not an musician so he really doesn’t know what he’s saying you have a different ear to music when your just a listener then when you actually make music

id give the overall album a 7, i think its one of those albums thats gonna take a few listens through to find what fits your ear. Redlight and Raver are hands down my favs off the album tho
I fw the album but I understand Fantano's points fr. I feel like Lone either picks the most fire beats or the most hollow and "thin" sounding beats ifym. Lone also sound like he just don't kno what to do on the beats sometimes . Lone still hard tho
i liked if looks could kill (the song) a lot, but honestly most of the tracks on the album just feel like they were put together by someone tonedeaf without a sense of rhythm or any writing skills. i appreciate lone for bringing attention to the style of fashion that he does tho

saying he has to review albums that sell 35k is just wrong, he likes alot of indie music that probably doesnt sell much at all, he even reviewed sematary who most of you probably dont even know. he can definitely review any rapper he wants
I will litterally forget about this album's entire existence in like a month. Fast food music vibes. I do like the beat in the track chris paul ; he has a serviceable flow in sync with the organ chord stabs but i do find the scream sample abit tacky so I'm already over the only song i liked on the album This is definitely music for the present not the future imo. 3/10
I honestly think the album was decent but i was little let down. And i do think the projects are always supposed to be cohesive and it just wasnt as much as his other projects tbh. Lone is a great artist I really liked the album when i first heard it, but it’s already losing replay value for me personally.
lol I'd say it was the most cohesive project yet, but it was just too long and some song ideas were too one dimensional. After 1-2 minutes most of the songs were just repetitive and uninspired.
@@MrDiggaa I misworded i meant cohesive as in a full body of work that tells a story and has variation. The album pushes new sounds and they are all cohesive and make sense together fosure
I swear the internet has a hive mind when it comes to music. it was pretty chill album , y’all just hating cause the next person hating and getting mad . then y’all start talking bout lyrics like most artists today ain’t saying the same shit , and then regards to it sounding same y’all know a album has to follow a theme or message like y’all want every song to sound like a different theme entirely which would sound mind numbing the album was chill wasn’t great but chill but the hate with the album just shows people can’t form a solid opinion.
you can’t even listen to this album in the background, if you don’t pay close attention it sounds like the same song playing over and over, only being broken up by the rage beats lol this joint ass.
The beats were interesting ngl I like “fly shit” a lot honestly but yeah he do listen all the way through the album and gives his full honesty opinion on it so we can’t knock him lol not only that I ain’t even listen to the whole album only listen to the first few fr just wasn’t listenable for me it was hard to it felt like tbh
But how are you going to pick out your fav tracks if you can't even listen to the whole 26 song album haha? I was kind of hyped since I never tried to listen to any of his stuff, so I thought, " OK, why not give it a shot but after 7 tracks, I was kinda bored and had to stop.
you got to listen to the album more to like it and pinpoint which songs are fire raver, by the pound, chris paul and new new and passenger is fire. Also total xanarchy was actually pretty fire
In a nice pair of headphones this album is way better for the most part, but certain songs like Which Way sound worse because of how messy and kind of off the beat is. Liked this project overall though.
I love NS, but for whatever reason this album is not clicking with me. It's way too chill. If you can't drive crazy listening to an album, it's not a good album. And when driving to this album, I'm just bored. I even picked out the tracks I liked the most, listened to just those and I'm still bored. NS you get this crazy intro right into these punchy and bouncy beats with lone just mumbling over them. It felt like listening to the best producers with this visionary kid rapping jus for fun. But this new album ILCK, the beats are so dry and boring. And they're not contrasted by some high energy vocals or craziness, they're paired with even more bland boring melodies and bars. If this album was like the best producers make a rock/trap beats with lone riffing nonsense on em OMG it would have been crazy. Instead the title track of ILCK is the highlight of the whole album with nothing even coming close to that watermark. I'm disappointed with this work. I really wanted this new opium sound like Playboi Carti's live shows, but instead we got low energy Machine Gun Kelly.
fantano can listen to literal black metal and call it the best thing ever but listens to a slightly distorted destroy lonely beat and says it’s too crunched like how tf does he have fans 😭
He enjoys JpegMafia who has experimental beats and at times crunched but it takes risks and is intentional. The problem is that Lone doesn’t go anywhere with it and is just regurgitating sounds his predecessors/contemporaries are already doing or done. He doesn’t need to reinvent the wheel but that’s an onus on him to actually go somewhere with sound we hear a million times. I enjoy Lone and I think he did a little bit of that on his previous project but ILCK was run of the mill
It seems like Carti's artists are just sacrificial lambs so that he doesn't take critical backlash for commiting to rage, that's why all his rage songs from the last 2 years keep leaking instead of "officially" releasing. Why take the hit when you have little foot soldiers to test the water for you
