Thank you Sandy for your service! I'm Air Force myself. Anyway, cool vid. I'd love to get a vehicle like this for fun. Alot of these vehicles are low mileage for the year because they were just used on base. Awesome vid!!!!
Hey Sandy, you & Airborne trooper sold me on Boyce Equipment out of Utah . My truck is almost done now. Bringing it to the Appalachian mountains. They do it right & the best that’s why I picked them. Dallas my man is a super great guy to work with. I know it’s DONE RIGHT !
I love this model truck and if I'm lucky enough to get one someday I will. But I've got a question about the fuel range calculations. He said that the fuel tank is a stock 50 gallon tank and he averages 11 to 13 mpg. At 12 mpg he would have a range of close to 600 miles. If his range is about 340 miles then the tank would only hold 28.3 g. That means he's wrong about either the fuel tank capacity or his average mpg. Which is it?
I promise it did not actually have 14,000 miles on it. The military swapped out odometers without setting them to the correct mileage, so it could have had 200,000 miles on it and then they replaced the odometer 14,000 miles before they sold it.
Hello Sandy, nice video. I have my money down on one from Boyce. Dallas from Boyce says I’m still 6 months out on the waiting list. By the way where did yo get the camera system? IDE like to get one from my truck also. Thanks for the video, you’ve got a super nice truck there.
Hey Sandy, I'm retired Army Infantry. I talked to Boyce In Idaho. I had mentioned that I wanted the Troop racks/ bench seats with my truck to be ordered. Did you configure the seats yourself or had a local place to put them in? Boyce thought they may not be able to put the in my Bobbed Duce. Who put your Troop seats in????
Sick vid!! Open carry ques. I'm not against it but do you think it is wise to open carry? Gun exposed? The reason why I asked is because a guy from the USCCA said it's not wise. He then shows a video where a guy was ordering his food at McDonald & then some dude just walked behind him & took his gun from his holster & ran out the door. The owner of the gun chased after him but stopped because the guy who stole the gun pointed it him. Nobody was killed. I know you're suppose to be aware of your surroundings but still. I know a lot wouldn't have the balls to steal a gun from a holster but this dude got some big nuts to steal it.
open carry vs conceal carry is very debatable. both have pros and cons. cops open carry every day. dignitary protection officers conceal carry every day. both work and both have disadvantages. if someone wants to try a gun grab....that is a life and death gamble. if you screw up the attack...you could loose your life. most gun guys are wise enough to use a level 1 or level 2 retention holster that you need to know how to unlock. I prefer ccw because I like blending in and having the element of surprise. on a special event like this where dozens of your friends are also open carrying....I see it as an asset and a deference. on a side note....if you open carry you should carry a small back up. if you lose your gun....reach for your backup.
mixflip I prefer concealed carry too for the same reasons but also I really don't want every person I walk past on the side walk to call 911, people are just paranoid about guns nowadays, and I always carry a backup even if I conceal, I always carry a bond arms snake slayer loaded with 410 000 buck, and my primary weapon is usually a Taurus judge public defender poly.🇺🇸.
that's a tough one. the M35 is probably much easier to maintain with its cheaper and easier to find American parts. a unimog is a Mercedes and the parts are European and probably harder to to find and more expensive? I don't know if unimog are more reliable though? unimog do have portal axles which give you crazy good clearance. plus the resale value is probably higher on a unimog since they have a cult following with rich adventurers. hard to say since I don't really have any offroad experience with either one. I will make that one of my questions when I interview both types of owners.
