These 2 did have true love. The drug use may have gotten out of hand but that's not what created the chemistry they had. It's not like they spent every waking moment of 14 years smoking. Yes they partied and over did and sometimes it ended in a hook and jab match but when those things happened the drugs and alcohol demon had stepped in and altered the brain function they had no clue what was going on that fog was thick. Had they not gotten so heavy into the addiction they would probably have made it. I am sure looking back he has regrets but I also think he thought they had plenty of time to reconcile and as he said he will always be deeply in love with Whitney same as she left this world loving that man hoping for the day to come where they could finally have the marriage they really wanted. The one full of passion, love,laughter and most importantly drug free.
