John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
@@luisgustavocarvajalfernand1430 He had heart failure, towards the end he'd have to run off stage at intervals to use oxygen. He had a strange childhood, the woman he knew as his sister was actually his mother. Whom he thought was his mother was really his grandmother.
Fantastic! I'd been hoping you would post this! Bobby arguably at the pinnacle of his fame! This was soon after his break-through success with "Mack the Knife" which made everyone realize he wasn't just a rock and roll singer with songs like "Splish Splash" but a serious adult singer to be reckoned with. He was riding high, and his singing and delivery was smooth as silk (as it always was). A great performer! "That's the Way Love Is" was the B-side of "Beyond the Sea" (his new unforgettable single) and he performed both during this episode. I love this performance, so thank you so much for posting it! Hope to also see "Beyond the Sea" someday, as well as James Melton's different but equally beautiful version on a 1951 episode (which I've never seen but my grandfather would love to see too). Thank you!
Really great, he was the coolest, and also a very good drummer, pianist, and guitarist. One of the best I never got to see live....Kevin Spacey couldn't even come close to the greatness of Darin.
Simply amazing. I love Bobby Darin. It's a huge shame he's not as mainstream as The Beatles or Elvis or Frank Sinatra. Most people these days just listen to his early hits.
The doctors told him when he was a child that he wouldn’t make it to 18. He still died too young but he lived longer than anyone expected and made every second count.
You're feeling low and oh, so small Then suddenly you're eight feet tall She just walked in the room And the gloomy room just glows That's the way love is That's how it goes You're such a drag from nine 'til five Then all at once you're so alive It's just the way she winks her eye Or wrinkles her nose That's the way love is That's how it goes It's the world's oldest unsolved riddle The kind of game you just can't win And if you come up with the answer You're a better man sir, than I, Gunga Din So when that tingle hits you deep And you're tired but you just can't sleep Don't you take my word Go and ask anyone who knows That's the way love is That's how it goes It's the world's oldest unsolved riddle The kind of game you just can't win You come up with the answer And you're a better man sir, than I, Gunga Din So when that tingle hits you deep And you're tired you don't sleep Don't you take my word Go and ask anyone who knows That's the way love is That's how it goes That's how it goes That's how it goes
of course, Bobby Darin was in that short class of all-time great singers.....but I would argue he died before he even reached his vocal peak..which I do not believe great singers reach until their early but more likely their mid 40's....
