I always remember my grandfather, when I am listening to this song cause' it's his favorite. He used to sing to me this lovely song when I was a child. He died last November 3, 2022 at 86 and I requested the band to play the song in his burial. I really miss my grandpa 😭😭😭

I was little aged 3 years old in 1962 when my father bought his transistor radio. The radio often tuned to our local radio station and Bobby Helms voice usually comes beaming on our local radio wave length. This song truly break my heart when I usually think of my yesteryears. A reminiscent of the foregone past that lingers in my memory.❤❤❤✌️

I served in Germany 1963~66 in the 14th A/C. I was in the 2nd Squadron Bad Kissingen, Germany. We played tag with Soviets on the boarder in at that time Occupied Germany. The Fraulein song was popular in all the Clubs on post,. We all sang it. Thanks for sharing Freddy

He is my favorite singer who sang my favorite song. It was sang by my classmate in High School Graduation day in the 60's, and it stuck with me since then. I had just started high school when this song came out, and I loved it. I had to walk a mile each way to catch the bus. In the morning it was fine - all down hill, but come afternoon - all uphill. No problem; I sang this song all the way down and then back up over and over.
