He was targeted by the gs warriors by pachulia. Ever since then, Leonard was on his way down healthwaise. He's not going to get any younger and those old injuries will start to catch up with him. A very sad story of a generational superstar.😢
When Clippers played the wolves, in every game the Wolves killed em. And they looked and played old as heck. I knew then they would be a out in round 1 regardless who they played. Having three top 20 players in 2024 is a complete joke now.
Clippers traded away shai for paul george to team up with kawhi , only for 5 years later to have nothing to show for it except one western conference final appearance....... while 5 years later shai got the number 1 seed in the west and possibly might win mvp of the league Talk about bad moves
@@chasenickles260 5 years later! And for all you know Shai might get injured and have a career ending injury. No one thought Kawhi was going to be hurt year after year. In theory they should have had 5 chances to win the championship and they had one. It's easy for you and everyone else to say they should have kept Shai 5 years kater but I bet 99.9 of people would have made the trade
After that first game where westbrook threw down the alley dunk I thought he was gonna be pretty good. I was wrong man can't even make layups, let alone shoot
4 for $200M!?!? LMAO. Did this guy not just watch the series? Why are people treating these old dudes like they still have potential when every one of them is only set to get worse…
Running it back. Lollll As confused and disappointed as we were as Raptors fans after KL didn’t re-sign… Thank god!!!! 6 years of this?! We REALLY dodged a bullet! Thank you Kawhi, thank you LA. Hope he’s enjoying his stay at home.
He brought your first and only ring don't forget that :) They probably get their second or even third rings if he stays. They are the complete and balance roster back then. Clippers just ruined everything for him and for the raptors.
@@OldLadyGamersince1990 Yes he was the main guy like EVERY team has. The others contribute and make plays too. Basketball not 1 on 5 ;) And yes, they could’ve really run it back and won at least one more.
Do the Clippers really have a choice?? Hmmmm let me see no draft picks, luxury taxes so if they let PG & Harden go for nothing it will be a disaster. The Clippers really have no choice but to run it back unfortunately 😢.
@@benjaminj.carrick9987 oh he was??? Really? 2 games he was an absolute clown. Thats not being a hater it’s watching the games and seeing how bad and inconsistent he is. He now has 18 career playoff games he shot less than 25%. That’s has bad as it gets
@@vincentdigirolomo8056 so your point guard who is supposed to just be a point guard gives you 16pts and 13asts 7rebs but he's the one your chastising 😂😂😂😂 man shut up. Pg takes the most shots on the team
Please no more Russ, the guy is unplayable in the modern nba. We got PG, and Harden being doubled every play bc they sag off Russ and dare him to shoot
The Clippers are screwed. They have no other choice but to run it back and pay James Harden and Paul George whatever they want in the summer. If one of them goes, then they might as well blow it up altogher. It's veryclear at their respective ages neither George or Harden are 1st options. Relying on an injure prone kawhi in the post season is another headache in itself . They have gambled away their future for these 3. Clipper fans are simply tired. I'd say let PJ tucker go in free agency and try sign either Precious Achiwa or Jalen Smith. They need another rebounding big. Ideally a younger one. Then give the main trio (Harden, George and Leonard) ONE more yearto prove themselves and pray the team remains healthy. If they don't win it, then trade all of them next season. Even if it's just 2nd round picks. No IFS or BUTS. They need to recoupe what they lost.
@@dallastexas5653 he defo is turning it down and signing a large extention. hes getting similar to what kawhi's getting whether its on the clippers or not.
@@dallastexas5653 Philly and Orlando both have cap space. George fits Philly's roster and timeline. Pistons will definitlely offer him a max too becuase they are the pistons. LMAO. Van vleet had a poor season last year in terms of effeiciency.... Came out of Free agency with a (128million dollar contract,) . A Similar situation happended with Dillion Brooks. Paul George is a great 3rd option and a tall 3 and D player. That archtype of player is hard to get. Clippers are maxing him out 100%. Plus Ballmer likes George and i don't see him letting george go just yet.
The 2018-2019 Clipper roster conssting of Lou Williams, Patrick Beverley, Danilio Gallinari, Montrezl Harrel, Jaymchael Green, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, et. al., played with heart and soul. They were more competitive and played like a team . The organization needs to apologize to these players and fans for breaking this team apart. The current roster is a horrible disappointment and failure.
Years of disapointment for the LA Clippers continues, since Kawhi moved to LA, he and PG were never healthy, it was always an injured riddled year after year after year, at some point Steve Balmer had to pull the plug and let go of them both. They no where close to winning or at least getting to WCF😞 Luka and the Mavs finally beat the Clippers in a Playoff series. 😮💨 Westbrook in this series GM1: 13 PTS (5/8 FG), 4 AST GM2: 7 PTS (2/9 FG), 3 AST GM3: 1 PT (0/7 FG), 1 AST GM4: 5 PTS (2/8 FG), 1 AST GM5: 6 PTS (2/11 FG), 0 AST
Let go russ even i love russ let hyland develop let terrence mann shoot more and then sign big who can rebound abd defend and natural 4 who can strecth the floor
Clippers resigning Harden, and Paul George would be horrific long term. However based on the CBA and cap situation of the Clippers they don’t have much choice. They should strongly consider a sign and trade for Paul George he has more trade value than both Harden or Kawhi for obvious reasons.
What Sam Mitchell meant by that (and I can’t confirm because I didn’t listen to the whole sound bite) was maybe sign and trade a few of these guys like PG and Powell and get picks then get the youth via the trade. Use picks to add more youth. Personally I agree. They should rebuild.
Trading for PG was insane in the first place... Resigning him again is just crazy. Try to sign and trade him to the Knicks for Randle or something. Or if you must keep PG, then try to trade Kawhi. But bringing it all back is nonsense
*Mark my words. If PG don't sign, Kawhi gonna put up great numbers and carry the Clippers... Just to get traded in December when he's eligible to be.* *Steve Balmer Special*
judging by the fact that they extended kahwi, which was a terrible move, they are going to try bringing all those guys back. The smartest thing to do is rebuild. let pg and harden walk. Trade Zubac and Powell. Kahwi will be hard to trade but there might be a team desperate enough if they can get him for very little in return.
Paul George, Harden & Russ should leave. I’ve been a Kawhi defender for years but he ain’t tryna win another ring. Homie played enough to get paid then chilled. PG can make all these teams close, actual contenders. He should dip for sure
Release Westbrick for starters Dude shouldnt even be in the league 6 ppg on 25 pct fg, 23.5 pct from 3s, and 61 pct free throws in the Dallas series Smh
No the problem with the clippers is healthy and they overrated they always play good in the regular season but they always choke come playoff time and kawhi is always injured
Giannis has been hurt the last two years, look at all the NBAstars that are out injured or playing at a reduced level due to injuries. Lillard, Giannis, Julius Randle, K. Porzingis, Butler, Jarret Allen(out today in game 7), Embiid 1st game back was playoffs, its a league of injured stars, may the healthy ones win I guess.
PG is a stat. player. Harden is a fake star. so is Westbrook. Forget kawhi leonard, sad, but its over man. Clippers have to fire everyone, Start from scratch.
Id like us to sign George and harden and trade all three. Ideally you could get may 3-5 first round picks a guys on shorter deals but loaded enough to balance the cap. I was intrigued with Josh giddey but since the trade I'm act intrigued about the kings fox. Does he have interest playing with Leonard. Older star it could really be his team. New arena George and harden for fox and sabonis that be a move id try . Kings are not looking like a potential champ anyway and you kinda are at the AD this guy can transform your team into a winner so let's make a team friendly deal to a team could put him with an already made man
Lmfao @ it feels like ive written the same clippers article. “” i feel you Bobby. I expect them to resign PG because of the new arena opening, on a short 2-3 year deal. Additionally, i expect PG to take Kawhi’s place on team usa if kawhi is not healthy enough to go
If they had made it past the first round running it back would be a no brainer but it’s hard not to make any serious changes to a roster after a 1st round exit.
You gotta resign Harden and PG and run it back, Clippers has no draft picks and they don’t have any young stars. If they walk who do you get in return????
Totally Clippers fault that Kawhi Leonard didn't play in the playoffs!! Knowing his injury history, he should not have played 68 games the most he's ever played for the Clippers!!
Let PG, Russ, Harden and Tucker walk, salary dump Kawhi somewhere, trade Powell, Mann and Zubac for picks and start again. Rebuild! Throw the bank at Ty Lue and convince him to be the Spolstra of the Clippers through think and thin, hire an elite scouting department that finds good young players and diamonds in the rough players. Fix this mess and set a better foundation for the future. Let the Lakers be the circus team of LA
Where is the so called system? As i have said before, Harden and Westbrook won't get any chip in any team they joined. This guys need to retired, they embarrassed themselves during the play. PG still has some left juice but need a full support. Kawhi should look his health during the season, he is unreliable when it comes to playoffs. There will be a massive trade this upcoming season.
GM never filled the hole of not having a PF. I knew it would hurt us, especially when you shift players a higher up position for ex. Kawhi playing the 4 this season. I feel like a trade for DFS would’ve made a huge difference.
i hate the should have kept shai comments the clippers wouldn't be in the thunders position we would hve got other stars so either way shai would have been traded lol 5 years of kawhi and paul george ad one 1 wcf compared to 3 missed playoff years for the thunder is still a clippers w in the grand scheme of things.. PG13 and Kawhi are young enough to play what? 8-9 years with the clippers in total.... for all we know this could be a blip year for the thunder... lucky the thunder, nuggets and Timberwolves were worried about the lakers .. thunder wouldnt have even got 1st lol
They need to blow the team. I still don't know why they want to stay in Kawhi business. The dude doesn't promote the team. And if anything hurts. Not broken. Just hurt. His out. And Clippers have to say ok with that.
Only one trying is KL he risk more and more injury because pg and others don't pull weight. The point was for him to have 2nd and 3rd but they don't add up to 1 star
the medical staff for the clippers is responsible whatever they are doing it's not good enough for their stars to stay healthy. even load management hasn't helped but both PG/Kawhi are injury prone, so no matter how condition these guys are they find themselves hurt when it counts. so if your the clippers i would start over the window has closed you're not winning a title with this team.
Lakers are dependent upon LeBron. He is still performing at an All-Star level and still takes over 4th quarters for us. As long as that is true and as long as he stays with us, we can’t waste the years we have him.
@@This_World_Aint_For_The_Weak he got a lucky ring due to injuries lol. If kyrie and harden weren’t injured his career would be getting eliminated round 1/2 every year. Even with no kyrie and injured harden, kd still almost eliminated him but his toe was on the line.
