The logistics of making that happen would seem easier said than done. But, every year, LeBron has secured more power. This contract, as we've discussed, has room for all types of transactions.

@Brandon Duran If he is still playing at this level in 2 years there is no way he is opting out just to go play with whatever terrible team drafts his son. That would be a dumb last year of his career. Especially if the Lakers return to the playoffs.

nah, he used to play defense and actually ran back on a fast break, he also played more minutes and didn't pad stats in garbage time when they're up/down big and the game is over. But I do agree if Gobert gets max deal, lebron for sure deserves it.

I am a Bron fan and it is important for the face of the league to set a good precedent through contracts. His player option can allow for some flexibility tho. It aligns with AD’s option too.

1. It doesn't change much for the lakers cap 2. Everyone knows he wants to play with bronny asap that's why he has that player option 3. You don't negotiate with stars like Lebron, you give them whatever they want unless it's a James harden situation where he comes to the FO and says he's gonna take a pay cut
