not gonna lie i love how he shuts the audience up when they try to applaud. he's just like "nope. this ain't about cheering. *listen* and learn with me."
I was at this concert and I still remember it to this day. Montreal jazz festival is very strict for encores (to allow people to go to other concerts in the city). But the audience didn’t want to leave at the end of his performance. We got 3 encores which was unprecedented to my knowledge. I left the concert in tears, totally emotional of what just happened. One of these concerts you’ll remember for life
@@beckybrynjolfsson Obviously this is an old comment, but I think it's important to point out the fact that you're a special kind of asshole. You're the type of asshole that takes their own interpretation of words and projects that on to others to make them look guilty. Instead of saying something stupid like "Allow is a bad word", how about you actually take a moment to learn the definition of the word? You obviously aren't aware that it has multiple uses. And the context in which Vincent used it means "to give the necessary time or opportunity for". He used the word perfectly, and not in a bad way. Don't accuse someone of doing something the wrong way because you're too stupid to see that they did it the right way.
Not just is Bobby one of the most gifted musicians of this world but also one of the greatest comedians without even telling one joke. He's a kind of a music clown and at the same time a spiritual healer. I would say Bobby is a kind of a shaman whose greatest talent is to bring joy and love to the world especially to humans.
Bobby comes out absolutely confident that he is going to entertain himself and his invited guests for a session of improvisation, syncopation, lots of lip smacking and sounds only humans can make; have a good time he does, but he brings his entire audience with him on a magical musical experience they will not forget, ever. hat a guy!
This guy blows my mind in every possible way. It's not only his mastery of hitting the notes, but his knowledge and use of a breathtaking array of musical styles and traditions. Such a genius!
I really enjoy how much Bobby appreciates the people that are preforming with him. He looks sincerely interested and impressed by each and every one of them.
Anyone interested in attending a Master class performance of how to truly use your voice as a musical instrument? Pay close attention to this man. Unbelievable!!
Wow - what a revelation!!! Just the part with Richard Bona is priceless: having fun together, joking around while delivering a worldclass performance. That's what you call "cool".
Love Bobby McFerrin. He is a legend and a genius. I've been lucky enough to sing and play in the circle(song). Thank you for posting this. Someone who brings this much joy into the world is a treasure. #Goodexists
Jealous, it's on my bucket list, but gotta get done while this gift of a human is still performing, which, will probably be until he is gone . He loves it. He'll do it until he can't and does it with our lost loved ones
Bobby.... Escucharte es ir a un lugar que no es de éste mundo. Supremo. Tu humor. Tu simpleza. Siendo tan pero tan cráneo. Que don! Gracias por tanto genio!
February 8, 2020. RU-vid algorhythm: suggests Bobby McFerrin - Live In Montreal (FULL) Me: Ah man this is almost 2 hours long. I'll at least check it out for a bit Also Me: WATCHES THE WHOLE DAMN 1 HOUR, 44 MINUTES and 52 SECONDS DUE TO THE EPICNESS OF WHAT 1 HUMAN VESSEL CAN BRING TO THE STAGE....along with a few intermittent friends who are extremely talented as well.. Now THAT'S confident talent right there!
This had to have been pure heaven to have been in the audience for this masterpiece of a concert. I envy each and everyone that experienced this live. I’m watching this on television and am in total awe of this brilliance.
F'ing Phenomenal!!! Watching this I keep getting the urge to clap alone at home ;) And I'm really grateful that RU-vid exists and can bring this joy to everyone.
Bro, I'm sitting here and vocalizing/improvizing along. Clap all you want. Bobby McF is plucking the strings of the universe which makes you pluck them too.
Cosmos hi there, it's not gibberish it's freedom. You have to try to listen with your soul not your head. Your head can't interpret the sounds but your inner core. Just try to have it again without any pretense.
Thank you Bobby McFerrin for you originality. expertise, musicality, humanity, sense of humor and that GREAT smile! Rarely do I watch a film twice - I'm already on the 2nd viewing of this performance not to mention watching and listening to your other segments on RU-vid! Amazing integration of complexity and simplicity.
He truly is. There are a few like him though. I recommend Jacob Collier (when it comes to more contemporary stuff) if u haven´t heard of him yet. Maybe -> "Moon River"
So far only three people in the music industry who could make a vast amount of the audience to follow their command and those are: -Bobby McFerrin -Jacob Collier -Freddie Mercury
Merveilleux pour passer une belle journée quand on a mal dormi : la VOIX, le SOUFFLE, La PULSE, et, en plus, un talent comique indéniable, complètement dégenté : J'adore !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had the fortune of seeing Bobby perform at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival in Idaho when I was a teenager, must have been 2009 or 2010. To this day, I occasionally daydream about that performance. It was the most amazing, mesmerizing thing I've ever seen.
this is what being human means see love and passion in the action not acting a loving expression of self-mind- body and soul and see who is enjoying it....... but Dear Bobby thanks for the head healing
Absolutely love crowds singing like this when its not a choir.. makes this a rare gem on you tube big fan of bobby mcferrin... 44:14 ave maria, over the rainbow 1:27:57 .. If you like certainly worth watching right through
Bobby reminds me so much of another beloved nutcase, Sir Dizzy Gillespie...my spirit-brother; like Diz, Bobby McFerrin is a God-sent shining light, in the sorrow & divisions of these times. He is loved to the moons of the farthest planet in the universe, & back!!!
@@ziruini5071 The definitive TRUTH-No doubt in my(alleged)mind. Wouldn't they have been a pair together??? 😂🤣😂🤣😂 I'd pay $$$$$$$$$ (WAIT--WHAT'S $$$$$$$$$??? I seem to have lost track of the concept, somewhere.🤔😳😱) to get a chance to see the Diz & Bobby Show!!!!! in/on/at any kind of media available--or ALL of 'em... I can ALMOST imagine it, if I work at it. 🙃 Dizzy would've had a TERRIFIC time figuring out the Internet!!!🤑 I kinda wish I could figure out the Internet, now that I think(more or less) about it...🤯...
I live in a country where around 5 out of 10 people you meet on the street like "banda" music, which is a "genre" of pure misoginist, depraved, drug and sex-related lyrics (80%of it), awfully sung by guys that can barely speak spanish, and by guys who pride themselves for being "narco" mafia and drug cartels supporters. To all of this, of course, there are some exceptions, but unfortunately, most of this music seems apealing to most people you find on the streets; the city is ridden with it... and it is terrible curse to all who love good music. Great artists like Bonna and McFerrin are a blessing, a drop of fresh water in the desert... I thank God for them! (btw, no ofense to banda lovers, to each his own)
Envious of each and everyone who saw this thing live. Bobby, Bona and the cellist (whose voice also broke me), please know you made music fit for Gods.
