Do you really think it was Pittman's idea to hire Petrino? The boosters and Yurachek brought back Petrino because Pittman was on the verge of getting fired last year. It was Frank Fletcher, who owns the car lots in Little Rock, who got the ball rolling on bringing BP back. He did an interview with some Little Rock sports radio show and said how it all went down.
I haven't been this excited in a over a decade. Keep in mind that it may not be this year that all is well, it may take 1 full season to really get back to the 2009,2010 Arkansas offense but the roster plus portal makes it easier
Just pay the man what it cost to keep him on the offense..how good will he be just taking care of the offense ..we thought he was good the last time..he is a offensive guru..leave him in charge of the offense

When I listen to a Bobby Petrino press conference, it does not feel like I am listening to just the Offensive Coordinator. It feels like I am listening to the head coach.
You definitely won't hear Petrino say that he doesn't know what to do. Only at a dysfunctional place like Arkansas would you have the most successful recent coach as OC and a career o-line coach pretending to be the head coach

Most people who post something unintelligent don't bother to explain it, because they can't. But, I thought I would ask anyway.
He is a great coach, a great head coach. I only hope he changes his tune on artificial turf. Our natural grass field is stellar. Otherwise Bobby gets my vote! I think that if Sam wins 6 or 7, he retires. Petrino moves up.

So if someone says “I pick X wins” that means they’re a real fan but if someone picks one less win then suddenly they need to go root for another team? Don’t get all mad because there are those of us who know better and know to not drink the kool aid anymore. We’ve learned our lesson. If you wanna ramble and scream and claim 9 wins again then good for you. But when we’re sitting at 4-8, you’ll be nowhere to be found because you were wrong again.
lol if you think Pittman won’t defer to Petrino on offense That’s literally why he was hired. And Pittman’s humility to do that is what makes him a great coach
