In short, I enjoyed nicki and takeoffs verse. However, Nicki and Cardi almost had one altercation, not many. The interaction was definitely one sided and one person left the celebrity event knotted up.

This is the situation that Cardi /her team used to start the beef with Nicki. She didn’t get the bar that Nicki name dropped her in and had the label ask her to change it. Then they played around with the shoot date so it would look like it was Nicki’s fault that they didn’t shoot together and help cause the issue. The migos were actually trying to market this song as a modern day Roxanne Vs (o forget her name) Nicki showed text where she asked Quavo to back her up publicly with the truth and he told her he only would if she would agree to be his girl friend.
Offset wrote for cardi on this song, and nicki absolutely bodied it. Therw was another version that nicki scrapped bc she said "if cardi the QB im Nick Lombardi ". She didnt compain she just did it, but cardi was in interviews and when asked about the Nicki collab she literally would act like there was a problem, and pretended like nicki changed it after her to be mean like if she didnt ASK for it . Cardi admitted to this too like clearly she was there to start beef and be mediocre 🌝

So fyi; at the time of this song, more so around the time the video was made they both Nikki and cardi had beef. Nikki at some point was supposed to be removed either from the song or the video or both. But because both Nikki and Cardi had fire versus the decision was to keep both of them on the song, and in the video, they just couldn’t shoot together, so they split it into two sessions/shoots. & yes both vers was shots towards each other.
