my very inexpensive jazz bass that I eventually made into my main touring & recording instrument ,, $400 Korean made body (alder body and quilt maple top) custom neck by Performance Guitars $1,500 .. Mike Pope 3 band pre-amp $299 .. less than $2,500 for all the changes and I have a keeper .. last year I bought a very expensive custom Imperial 5 string bass from Fodera, $9,000 total with "Artist" discount and I waited about 20 months for delivery ,, it was a seriously beautiful bass, but I didn't like the sound at all / This "Fender Mutt" tells a story every time I pick it up .... Yea //
