@@LostMyDayJob This seems to be the standard Wolf Pack configuration: Alex Kelly (cello), Brian Switzer (trumpet), Adam Theis (trombone), Mads Tolling (violin), and Sheldon Brown (woodwind). I know that Matthew Szemela performed instead of Tolling on October 14th at the 2022 Warfield 3 day run, but it's hard to track down when/if substitutions are made. Thanks for posting shows like you do!
@@LostMyDayJob Hello friend, will you have the first part of this extraordinary show? In addition to the other presentation the next day? greetings from Mexico!!
Only 21k viewers in 12 months. This music had its origin's in America's emerging subculture . Thanks for letting me take a ride on this strange and beautiful under current.
Thanks for posting, this is awesome, such a sight to behold. I prefer Bobby w this lineup, as the songs have a fresh feel to them, and a renewed energy, as well.
The stage is filled with talent , excellent capture and the suite is one of the best yet, Jay on the skins and the lighting…. People here caught a real gem.
These guys are just killing it! Saw them in Madison on Feb 28, and I was just blown away. The playing, the sound... all of it! I swear the sound was 3-dimensional at times! Kudos to the venue and the soundman (who we were standing right behind)
This reader\editor would change your lede slightly: "These players are just living it!" Instead of "guys are just killing it." Despite sluggish rhythms and guitar droopy drop-ins, the musical movements are quite lively, lived in and not necessarily at the clarity end of spectrum... Hell yeah brotha 😎❤. Just seen Bobby and Willie at outlaw festival. Ate a couple mushrooms before I walked in. Couldn't stop giggling 😅. Great show with friends and family.
Real good. Love Bobby but the elehant in the room is that tinny, shrill guitar tone. So many have commented elsewhere so he must know and actually want this tone?! Bring back that deep tone, sweet tone he had in the 70s especially since hes attempting some lead now!
Yeah, I think it's safe to say he has his tone set the way he wants. I know it's a sticking point for a lot of people, I guess maybe I've just listened to enough of it that I don't mind it. Sometimes it works really well against the warm tones in this band especially, between the pedal steel and the Wolfpack there is a lot to play off.
@@LostMyDayJob good insights, yes thankfully with the horns etc it's covered, before Wolf Bros had them it stood out more. But as a player myself I know his tone could so easily be improved!

They need a lead guitarist in addition to the pedal steel... Or just a different guitarist 🤦♂️😔 I know it's Bobby's gig and his band's tunes, but they'd sound absolutely wonderful with Billy Strings instead... Both vocally and musically. I don't enjoy having this opinion. I can't listen to it tho... Even with a different guitarist it's just not for me. I very much prefer original GD, D&C, JRAD, Billy & The Kids, Grateful Shred, and Mikaela Davis & Southern Star (who also have a pedal steel).
buddy yall should go back n listen to the Dead from 65 ,a taste of each year. to see /hear where this man came from . d n c should not really enter into the discussion . Or when the bus Slows down to the point where you aint settlin , on a corner jump . sometimes the songs that we hear are just songs of our own .
