Its super easy to figure out! But, I noticed there wasn't a video for operation of the Bobcat 418/E10 as far as I've found. So I'm hoping this helps you out. Cheers
One control pattern is for John Deere/backhoe tractors and the other is for Caterpillar/excavator tractors. They have other names also for the same two patterns, I think it's standard and ISO. most excavators are set up with caterpillar controls cuz that's what is most popular and backhoes are often set up with John Deere controls you can switch them when you want to. But keep in mind, That once you get used to one pattern it's hard to learn the other pattern. And some people learn both but they are split between the two. Meaning that when they're on a backhoe they have to do John Deere controls and when they're on an excavator they have to do excavator controls because the levers are in different locations and it forces that change. when you get on a machine that has a different control pattern it's very hard to learn 2 Change. Even if you can do that same pattern on a different machine. Typically the very smallest excavators just happen to have backhoe controls that are infront of you. While bigger excavators have the levers beside you. Some backhoes have come out with excavator controls to confuse the set up. Usually those are set up with excavator pattern and they are often switchable just like the controls on the excavators are normally switchable nowadays. The tracks can move narrower and wider, wider is for stability when you're actually working and narrower is for going through gates or doorways. You can literally drive this thing through the house to get to the backyard if that's where the job is and that's the only way to get to it. Or through the back door of the garage.

The 12 & 18 inch buckets are the most common sizes for this size machine. It depends on how wide do you want the trench and what you're going to put in the trench. Number and size of items. Don't dig it wider than needed, more work to backfill. Bigger buckets are available and should be used for moving light materials, because small machines will have trouble lifting it. The wide bucket with no teeth is for cleaning out drainage ditches and for grading/smoothing the landscaping. Another semi common attachment is a ripper used for ripping roots when taking out tree stumps. The dozer blade is used as a stabilizer when digging, keep some downward pressure on it when digging, and keep it infront of you so that you're digging towards the blade, but try to avoid hitting it. The dozer blade is often used to backfill the trench also. Many people use both the blade and bucket when backfilling switching back and forth. There's a great number of videos that show these techniques on RU-vid and they are good to watch and learn from. There are many vids also that teach basic controls and other techniques. A lot of people love bobcat excavators and a lot of people of cat excavators. Personally I don't like you the one. There are several Japanese brands I like a lot better like Yanmar, Takahachi and Komatsu.
