the laser grader is the best tool Bobcat has in its entire lineup. it is unfortunate that they do not know what they have. our dealers dont know anything about how they work, the mechanics dont have any experience with them. I try and get the same kid out each time to show him in the field how we use this tool so that we can work out the issues I have.
You hit it right on the head. When it works it's awesome. When it doesn't it is frustrating. I'm currently trying to get an issue resolved. What really stinks is the warranty side. Unless you are going to use it everyday the 1 yr warranty is no good. Had mine 14 months and maybe 50 hrs on it. Hoping bobcat will at least be able to help my dealer, don't want to just start throwing parts at it and hope one fixes it. I didn't even consider going with an aftermarket, now I'm not so sure. If bobcat gets this resolved I'll be sure to update you.
@@rogerniemi9861 the main issue is no one knows how it works. some hints on calibration. when you have the blade 6" in the air in the laser beam to calibrate make sure you have the rpm up other wise it sets the ma for an rpm that you wont be using when grading. run the calibration a few times and pay attention to the ma it sets for each direction, they should all be pretty close so if one is at 200ma and the rest are 350+ma or what ever you may have a weak coil or bad connection. once calibrated properly the only other things that are going to make it not grade well is the mechanical joints of the grader itself. this isnt a motor grader for smashing through hardpan this is a finishing tool, dont ask it to do muscle work.
When it works, it is awesome. Calibration and staying on grade is my issue. Bobcat is working on it. I hope to upgrade this with a positive outcome in the near future.
Just bought two lr410 Trimble receivers and they don’t work. They said plug and play nope just a $7100 paper weight after buying jumper wires they thought might fix the issue. Replaced the blr2 receivers because they have bad spots in them and won’t stay on grade. Think you can just buy new blr2 receivers nope bought new in 2018. No one at bobcat knows the laser system’s working with two stores and nothing. Just very expensive paper weights
I own a 96 attachment , but I'm in search for the blr2 recivers. !!! I can't find them at all!!! I was this close to buy the lr410!!! I'm so glad I found your comment here!!!!! Did you end up using your all recivers? Thanks?
@@fernandochavez9257hello after a month and about $9500 later finally got them working properly. The new receivers are working properly, had to take the machine and grader to a dealership three and a half hours away. Had to do an update for the grader on the machine. Now with showing grades in the cab and can offset grade with a push of a button from inside the cab it works great and make adjustments to grade to make more material or to make material disappear way easier. Wish i had that ability years ago but the dealership never updated the grader and machine together. I would recommend know your stuff because the dealerships don’t.
Trying to get tech support from Bobcat is just impossible. Everyone tells you to contact your local dealer, but the local dealer don't know what to do. No escalation points. Trying to understand what is wrong with my system. Today I tried the BLR2 and both lasers showing on the screen. The LR410 only shows as one laser- the left one.

@@BobcatCo I just did, I am trying to figure out (and many like me) if the cables for the BLR2 part number 7144375 will work on the LR410 lasers? or it must be used with 7426875? what are the differences if any?? no one seems to know an there are no notes in the system.
I have the Trimble LR410 setup on the T76, my machine can see on the screen only "One" laser while 2 are connected. I bought the "jumper" needed to the left side after market because bobcat don't have those in stock. (I don't think that is the reason but it definitely could be.) Could that just be an update? Why no one have a video of the actual screen at work with the different systems? Walk around the attachment (more important than to show them in static mode
@notsure6182 I have blr2 on both sides. Answer me this. If I have my left or right side active, will whichever side is active stay on grade while I manually raise or lower the opposite side. Or does the sonic slope have to be installed and if so why does the left right option even show up without the sonic slope installed.
@@rogerniemi9861 sonic doesnt work with laser at all. seperate system. you can raise one side manually and the other stays in the beam, but if the one you want up sees the beam it will try and go back on grade as soon as you let off the button. you do that all the time to go over obstacles.
