That Bobcat was absolutely moving and posturing like a rabbit. It was also trying to keep its presence as small as possible so it didn't look as threatening as it really was. Well played cat!
Yup, plenty of animals like that, one example is from the Weasel family that makes non threatening moves to hypnotize the prey until it gets closer for a strike.
First time I've seen something like this. I know bobcats ambush pray cause they are slow. I thought he stood no chance in the open, but when I saw it hops like a rabbit I thought: "Wait a minute..."
@@noegojimmy both rabbits and bobcats can reach speeds of 25 to 30 miles an hour.....the rabbit is a bit more agile while the bobcats has more power for killing...both function on fast twitch muscles for short distances. The rabbit wins by out manuvering until it reaches cover bob cats can not enter or keep up in. Yes most predators prefer attack by surprise. Just saying bob cats are not slow....even when compared to their prey as you keep suggesting.
Facts. How the hell didn’t that other one see him. The one in the front was like man don’t even try it. I would have just ran off just in case if I was him.
@Jason Karl definitely understand that. You definitely just motivated me to chase the dream man 💯. I hope everything goes well for you brother. Hopefully I get to come see a little private tour some day.💪🏾
@Jason Karl Great goal Jason. If you don't mind me asking Jason are you in Texas? I ask because I've read there are more tigers in captivity in Texas alone than there are tigers in the wild on the entire planet!!!. Also would you mind telling us what "pretty cheap" means. Like an approximate per acre cost for whatever agricultural land costs wherever you are, or for any other areas that you know are cheap to buy acreage. Thank you for any info you may have. I am moving from Las Vegas to Texas and I want to buy 640 acres within a year or two of moving down to Texas. Good luck with your dream man and well done with all of the hard work that has got you so close to achieving what you set out to accomplish. Much respect to you and best wishes Jason.
He was mimicking a rabbit. Had his tail tucked, bobbed his butt higher than the front, made similar pattern movements as the rabbit. I say he nailed it lmao
@@rascallyrabbit717 There is absolutely nothing wrong with you identifying as a carrot. In an age of Equality, where a man can legally identify as a woman, and a woman can legally identify as a man, and a man or a woman can choose to legally identify as "non-binary". It's only fair that you have the equal right to legally identify as a carrot.... 🥕 Personally myself, i sexually identify as a rainbow coloured tea cup. #Equality4Carrots #Equality4TeaCups #LGBTQICTCSDHAT
You have obviously never seen bugs hunting then. Edit: I take it back. Bugs are good at stealth to make up for their lack of a brain so not the smartest
Best video. I had no idea mimicry was in their bag of tricks. It had everything down: short bursts, butt down, head stretch, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was gnashing his jowls like they do eating grass! Poor sighted rabbits are doomed.
The bobcat pretending to eat the grass at the beginning. This bobcat deserves and Oscar, never broke character once until he locked jaws on the rabbit. Bravo
@@johnnyskied yeah for sure! I remember I was tooling around on two tracks once, I had my hatch opened smoking a joint in the woods and heard what sounded like a squirrel skittering around, I got a strange chill down the back of my neck so I hopped on my roof and it was a gd cougar like 30 yards from me!! I never grabbed my shit and bounced so fast in my entire life
@@Nick-dd2xg friends of mine were biking in Tahoe and had one stalk them for several miles. They were doing switchbacks down from the peak they'd climbed and noticed it's eyes reflecting off his headlight. Luckily they were in a group of 4 people and they stuck together....it was waiting for someone to break off from the pack and be vulnerable.
Coming to a theater near you "The Mimic" Starring "Bob the Cat" as Rabbit with a special appearance by "Buggsy the Rabbit" Coming to a Golf course, a Park, and a Backyard near you, this "Snuff Film" is rated XXX
Ther real lesson is that some people preying on you, will act and do things similar to you to gain your trust. Get close to you in order to kill or hinder your destiny, by knowing your every move. Be sober minded and keep watch like the 1st rabbit and you will continue to experience green grass.
First rabbit is like : "ok just stay still, he doesn't see me" The bobcat runs after different rabbit. First rabbit: " holy shit I cant believe that worked?"
It's more the fact that not everyone sees wild animals hunt on the regular so its interesting to see. It's a wild animal that doesnt have money to go to the grocery store to buy its food...aka nobody forgot, not one person.
@@NinjaSushi2 I didnt take it personally, I took it literally. You said we, as in people, often forget that animals hunt for their food. I told you nobody forgets that. I take days sometimes weeks away from it man, just because I reacted to your dumb comment doesnt mean I live on the internet.
They don’t kill for food bc they’re fed daily. They mostly kill either to keep their skills sharp, or they will play with (a rodent or whatever) until they get tired of it then kill it.
Wtf is wrong with their size?? They almost look like domesticated bunnies that got loose and have been surviving for awhile there. I breed buns and these have a very different body shape and size than cottontails. I did not enjoy this video. 👎🏻
@@ptrekboxbreaks5198 we have a female bobcat which we see about once a week. Just yesterday we saw she has two cubs. It is a lot of fun watching them. She had two last year.
Yeah, most people are intelligent, there's only a small amount of people dumb enough to stop the bobcat, after all predators need to eat too is not their fault that they need meat(also rabbits are overopulated so, well play for the bobcat)
I gotta be honest I was expecting a golf ball to come rolling buy and the Bobcat to attack it. However watching that Bobcat impersonate a rabbit just as funny. Well played Bob.
His movements were so robotic lol, then when he decided to go for the rabbits way over there I thought “well he just F’ed up” but he surprised me when he actually got one, he definitely caught him sleepin lol
Impressive cat! He tries to move and look like a rabbit, very cool, I'm glad he was successful! I saw a documentary where a leopard was hunting gazelles in pitch dark, she stomped a foot to get them to move so she could place them by hearing alone, she got one too!
I'm honestly so glad no one started yelling or something to get the rabbits to run away or whatever. Like let nature take its course and let the man eat.
I have never seen a bobcat that actually looked like a just a really big rabbit. The way that cat angle its body it look like a bloody big rabbit it was perfect I've seen Bobcats running rabbits down before but I've never seen one pretending to be a giant rabbit just walking up and grabbing one
