There are many different stages throughout the chassidic wedding. This stage you're watching is the very last one, the culmination, climax of the night, where she's praying her heart out along with the Rebbe/parents etc.for a blessed life for the couple and future children.Obviously a very serious mood. She would not dance in front of men. They are dancing in her honor. She had danced the night away all night among the women.

A wedding ceremony is always so emotional, let us get the news, ten years later, now you can enjoy multi national global wedding celebration, our ancestors traditions are so beautiful, thank you for publishing this video now available for anyone to see it
@Siegbert Landgraf :) , usually there is a lovely party for ladies only where the bride can be as emotional as she wishes .. but yes, at this moment of the ceremony (where the video was filmed) she is just praying for as many things as she want, we believe that Gd is closer to people on their wedding day ..
For your information, The 'man' in the video is The bobov Rebbe & he is dancing with his daughter on the day of her wedding. It is customary to hold a Gartel ( the white rope ) as to dance in a more modest way. The crowd is very happy and they singing to bring joy to the celebration. It may be the different for the way we do things but please be positive. Live & let live. -Thank you
It’s so beautiful. I’ve been to so many and I am overwhelmed every time. Do you ever wonder why a bride wears a veil? A couple of reasons. One is that the man is marrying her for her inner beauty, not the physical. But there is something far bigger than that. Gd’s presence shines on her face and her face is too holy at that point to be exposed. So beautiful.
Side note. My toddler grandson was out of control and I was looking for something to try to calm him down, nothing was working, and I started playing this. He stopped his tantrum, came over to see and was mesmerized. Then he started dancing and humming along. I kept playing it over and over! I had put on other videos and he didn’t stop, somehow this calms him down. So now I use it whenever he goes into his terrible two tantrum. Works every time!
I really loved watching this ESPECIALLY after I read the comments explaining what was going on. Weird to me? YES. Amazing to watch? DEFINITELY!!!I have never seen anything like it and I LOVE this .
This is a wonderful video. I Was raised Roman Catholic. Many of my friends are Jewish, some more than others. Respecting tradition brings stability. The bride is given so much honor.
horroroso!!!la novia como cavallo atado i tanto hombre donde estan las mujeres???hay tradiciones que estan desfasadas en el siglo 21!! por favor igualtat entre hombres y mujeres !!!es uma imagen para mi machista!!

To all those sneering and some almost Holocaust minded in your comments, every society in the world has a different way to celebrate marriage, from India to China to Africa to New Guinea to Saudi to Russia etc etc If this offends you, Don’t watch it, and definitely stop disrespecting the ways of life of others, you ought to be ashamed of yourselves.
@Tyler Hopkins The man dancing the Mitzvah Tantz with the bride is the Rebbe, not the groom. This clip is too short to feature the groom, but plenty of other Mitzvah Tantz videos will show them.
It is a custom among certain chassidic sects that the father, the Rabbi (here the Bobov Grand Rabbi) and then the groom dance with the bride as part of the wedding festivities. Since the Rabbi is highly regarded, the bride shows awe, not fear, and she could be tired. A Jewish wedding is joyous, and it can also last several hours, so I hardly think she is sad.
Weddings like these are the most joyous day in a person's lifetime! Also, you can see the bride is praying for blessing. And the most modest, the more beautiful ;)
@@prostoberdukaeva6031 чем это наводит ужас? Надо чтоб невеста была полуголая, с тонной косметики, жених во фраке? Если вы видите что то непривычное, то это ужас? To anyone who is interested, in our jewish faith there is a time when the holy spirit come to us directly, one of those times is on the face of the bride getting married, the man dancing the tanz mitzvah, is dancing not in-front of a woman getting married, he is happy to be in the presence of the holy spirit.
As a complete outsider, I am amazed by this dance. All these men having a great time and the little bride on the end of a ribbon. The groom’s strange solo performance goes on forever.
Wow, this is so beautiful. I'm Jewish but not Hasidic, but I think the Mitzvah Tantz is very special. I think it's lovely that Hasidic weddings are both very joyous and very solemn. It really encapsulates what marriage is about
Antonio Javier Isaza yeah, fancy that, eh, made to stand at the end of a leash watched by hundreds of men. NOT nice. So she the only woman in there? I am very interested in so much Jewish tradition but some of it is just unpleasant.
I think like you. It is important to respect other people. It´s nice reading this. I´m jewish, and some of my best friends and my family best friends are from arabian families. Sharing and learning from different cultures makes us grow as human beings.
A cultures that hides its women and only allows man to the most important day in her life is not a culture but a male dominant society. Being a woman in this culture appears to be like living in the dark ages. I like the fact there must be only one tailor and style in town, hes making a fortune. Respecting cultures is one thing but this is all about the man
jupitergrls she is a woman alone at the end of a symbolic leash, in front of hundred and hundreds of men. No other woman there to support her. Barbaric.
@Kathrin Kleinknecht According to the quran...👇👇👇👇👇👇 "O you who have believed(muslims), do not take the Jews and the Christians as friends. They are [in fact] friends of one another. And whoever is an friends to them among you - then indeed, he is [one] of them. Indeed, Allah guides not the wrongdoing people."--- sura 5:51

I really enjoyed watching this! Beautiful! My Jewish dad, at 80 years old was convinced that Isaiah 53 was a prophecy fulfilled by Jesus. That he died for sinners, like a lamb put to slaughter on the alter, and that he is the Jewish Messiah and is coming a second time to rule and reign in Israel.
No. When you read Isaiah 53 in Hebrew, you'll see that it doesn't mention Jesus. Christian Missionaries deliberately mistranslate Isaiah 53 into other languages to deceive people. Isaiah 53 never, ever talks about Jesus and the crucifixion.
@@esra3667 Exactly. Would be helpful if they read the chapters leading up to Isaiah 53 too 🤦 Even in English, it's there in print that "Cyrus" is the messiah (annointed one) here. And "Jacob" is named as the servant. Literally there spelled out for everyone. If they start at Isaiah 45 and read up to 53 and beyond, it might scare them.
@@iosoi3145 It is clearly written in the Torah and the Bible that people who are hanged from a tree or crucified are cursed. Although Christians accept Jesus, they actually humiliate him. The religion that describes Jesus best and most honorably is Islam.
Check out your roots if you dont know whats going on. You will ne shocked at the richness of your faith and you will develop a thirst that is other worldly to learn more and more and never stop. Its automatic but you gotta make the first move. Thats one of the general rules.
I love weddings where you see the joy of the family and friends, their blessing to the couple that they give and where everything they do symbolises prayers for good and blessed mariage and calling up the blessing on new generations yet to come. In weddings like this we see the good old traditions. These days everything is around material and there is no true joy and happines to share wilt the newly wedded couple. I m glad that so many people are showing their love, afection, joy for them. I wish that all people show it to each other. Maybe the world would be better place then. All traditions are lovely and valible
@@sharonbielski2792 because they're dancing for her. It's considered disrespectful for Jewish men to ask women to dance for them. They are dancing as a prayer for the bride, so that she will have a healthy family and a good marriage.

Naturally I wish everyone would get along and respect one anothere cultures..At the end of the day, all people want is joy, peace and happiness...
Setting the fashion world on fire, the groom's father showed up in a suggestive but subdued silk bathrobe, shiny man-slippers, fetching white socks and a furry mini Cooper tire on his head...and then he danced the night away.
Really.? It looks to me like she is terrified! "Who is that guy prancing around me like a psycho and then al' the freaking males in the audience behaving like mad Men ready to jump at me!...." it is not my idea of a happy wedding....
Youness Assila but these jews have other traditions than the jews in your country because these people are Ashkenazi jews the are the jews from germany and russia and east europe the people in Maroc are Sephardic lihoudi the jews from Spain Portugal maroc and gibraltar so this is a very different culture from the jews in your country
Jesper Bijvoet , so what if they're Ashkenazi? They still embrace their Middle Eastern cultural heritage. Isn't that all that matters? I hardly think that the fact they come from Eastern Europe makes any difference. Get a life
Dear Youness, my maternal grandfather was a Moroccan Jew; and my paternal one was a Polish Jew. I attend a synagogue where Sephardim and Ashkenazim pray together. Whatever this gentleman Jesper says, this is one little planet, in a big universe created by one God. So in my house you're welcome as a brother and I'm proud of my (and your) Moroccan heritage.
@@Etxeberrea so you just abuse one nation to prove that you love the other one? Wow I'm glad that Jews from Russia don't have such arrogant and dumb relatives as you're.
Ah, a father is dancing with his daughter while she is praying that she, her husband, and any future children all have a good and happy life together. They are connected by the cloth since men and women are not to be seen touching each other in public. As with many cultures, modesty is an important part. There is joy in the singing for the bride, in this next step in her life. Blessings on her marriage and may there be joy, understanding, kindness, and love all the days of their lives together.
laura archer because she’s the centre of attention there, she has the most power because she is the bride, and she uses that holy power to pray to G-d for love and happiness for her family and everyone around
Correct, I am Christian but believe Jews are the Chosen and with that comes good and bad for them. But they are strong and together unlike other religions causing grief and worse they are peaceful and only fight for them and theirs. God bless.
My brother & sister in law had a very frum chabad wedding in Long Beach, CA. And, though we grew up in a very conservative shul in NJ, his wedding was a true experience.
She has a good time, this is at the end of the wedding already. There are different parts. The bride is praying and serious. Believe me we love our wedding. Every part of it
The wife has to listen to husband. She stands and he is running, jumping wow the can stand and is arrest by rope. Audience clapping meanly the man. This is midevel. Please woman, stand your right. Thats why women run so hard they can away to freedom. Westeurope
Yep, The men seem to be having a good ole rave, some clearly on an emotional high from the music and dancing. Why can't the women express themselves in the same manner?
