Bobtail Bantam Cochins 

Here are some of our beautiful bobtail bantam Cochin chickens.
This unique colour was created in the early 1990s by a man in Berlin named Dieter Aschenbauch. The bobtail colour came from a mutaion of his black-red flock and we do not yet have an explanation for the genetics. He spontaneously called it Bobtail, because the females are grey and white, like the colour of the old English sheepdog, known as bobtail.
