I don't think the diesels in the scrapyard are meant to literally be Diesel, Daisy, Mavis, and Boco, just their models standing in for generic diesels.
@@kevin-2.1why would they bother wasting precious resources on building new models for a cumulative total of like 10(?) seconds of total screen time? Remember they didn’t build a complete model of Flying Scotsman for financial reasons (amongst others) for the season 3 episode Tender Engines
@@Aaron-uf3slAnd they used James and Thomas as the loaned engines that appear in Edward's Day Out. As well as using Skarloey and Duncan as the engines who came and went.
For some reason that idea doesn’t sit right with me. Considering how unreliable the Class 28s were, I feel like D5701 being evil is a bit far fetched for me.
I find it so hillarious that the mainline diesels in Rusty to the Rescue are literally just existing characters like Daisy and Diesel. It’s quite funny imaging Mavis being the booming voice of the diesel who talks to Rusty.
Yep, maybe I should have suggested the possibility it is another of BoCo's brothers not necessarily D5701, but he is the only other brother of BoCo in The Railway Series.
Also for Rusty to the rescue plot hole here, why didn’t the crew temporarily paint the diesels in a different livery while they repainted Rheneas into smudger. In the same season of all things.

I’m not sure if that’s Boco’s brother there, just a model of Boco there. Also I do agree that in Rusty to the rescue, those diesels should had stopped Rusty & Stepney from escaping? Also the narrow gauge line that extends to the other railway & how did Rusty become so helpful?

D5701 Was Painted BR Blue Somewhere In The 1960's (Couldn't Find What Date Though And Was Also The Only Member Of It's Class To Receive BR Blue) Oliver Escaped From British Railways To Sodor In 1967 And D5701 Was Withdrawn In 1968 And Scrapped A Year Later At Cashmore's. (kinda funny to me how Oliver's Bleak Shadowy Murder Got The Short End Of The Stick In Only 2 Years After He Escaped To Sodor) In The TV Series, Things Have Changed And Stepney Was Saved Somewhere After Oliver Got Saved. D5701 Was Withdrawn At Barrow-In-Furness And Not Preston Like The Real One. But Most Of All...He Got Painted Back Into BR Green. But Then Again It's Always Something Fun To Think About
In my headcanon D5705 joins the NWR after a chance meeting between BoCo and the Norramby branch railcars that used to run on the Matlock line on the mainland at the time D5705 was stored in the goods shed there.
Could interpret it as having been another Class 28 like say Idk D5700 D5703 D5704 or the like due to not being blue like D5701 that was also another bloodthirsty member of BoCo’s class also anti-steam despite the class having mechanical problems and being withdrawn early so most should’ve learned to realize they’re equal to the steam engines but I guess some like D5701 still felt they were superior due to still being diesels though BoCo and presumably D5705 knew not to have this mindset
