I've done two trips to Bodie. The second trip was a group trip and we signed up for the "Period Tour" of the mill. The hostess, dressed in period clothing, portrayed herself as the mill operator's wife and she was interviewing us as a group as to place us in various jobs around the mill. I highly recommend the tour as the information shared is quite interesting. I'm enjoying your videos. Thank you for putting the time and effort into making them.
First time there was in 1957, must say this is one of the finest restoration accomplishments by any state organization in California…My only complaint is removing the cracked window that was repaired with two small boards and a bolt on the Main Street.
Been there, great history in the place. Just like back home by Virginia City NV. Park rangers will tell you, dont take anything from the city. People have been known to send back original nails, rocks, bottles, and other small artifacts, do to weird happenings back at their homes.
Excellent history and video of Bodie. It should be set up in one of the buildings to to viewed by visitors to get a more in depth knowledge and experienced of the times. I visited with a friend some 20+ years ago but i realize now that i didn’t gain enough knowledge of the growth and decline of this mining town for lack of a thorough explanation as you have provided. That you so much for enlightening me on this wonderful historical site. 🥰👍
