This sermon, taken from Romans 12:1-2, is entitled "Bodies Don’t Lie: The Truth About Spiritual Worship. In it, Pastor Farrow puts forward that as embodied beings, we are more than what we think and what we eat. Rather, we are what we chose to do with our bodies. While the inclination may be to separate spirit and body (devaluing the body in the process), the Bible is clear that both go together. Ethically and theologically, we are where we put our bodies, no our intentions. This is why it matters where our feet take us, what we do with our hands, how we use our words, the way we chose to embrace or distance ourselves from others. The body does not lie. Spiritual worship is bodily worship. Perhaps that’s why Paul says, “I appeal to you therefore, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.”
